Yes, it's the Sim-Free version. I already activated my new sim and I am using it in my XS Max. Once I get the new one, I will pop it in. The worst part was that it took over an hour to have AT&T activate it.
Mine just came up as well. Pre-approval ready. Now the "patient" waiting game until 5am Friday!
I'm trying to do it with Verizon but it's just greyed out. Only let's me proceed with Apple Card Monthly Installments or Apple Iphone Payments. Verizon is offering a better trade in so I'm going that route.

My pre-approval is complete, but being new to this process, I have a question. I see the 12 Pro Max listed under my favorites. Is that what I click on Friday to order it?
No update. expected delivery date gone at ups. Has happened to other people so not panicking. Though I was hoping early on Thursday.

Does anyone know if the siri shortcut will work for multiple phones? When I go to each phone, it says the shortcut has been created. I just won’t mess with it if it may only put one of the phones in the cart or something

It isn’t actually an approval and they don’t hold inventory. Make sure the CC you want to use is in your Apple account and then save your config as a favorite. The “pre[not]approval” is just about making sure that if there are any financing prerequisites they can be sorted now versus later.
I did this process with my 12 Pro. In the end it really was no different than doing what I suggest above. Don’t sweat it - just get in there FAST when it opens for ordering!
Same here, same model as yours it was pretty quick moved thru all the process without a problem
Well that was easy, and a day sooner was not expecting til Tuesday but being Election Day maybe they did day early. No problems and very quick. My preapproval really for Graphite Pro Max 512 GB now to wait til Friday and play the can i get my phone by the following Friday LOL

I'm buying SIM-free. I was going to order through the military site for the discount. I already know I won't be able to get the 10% any other way. I'll lose $120 if I go through the app. If I do the pre-order through the app, can I take it in to the Apple store to get the 10% adjustment later? If it's not an option, that's fine, but I wouldn't know if I don't ask.
Also, I'm not financing, I would just set up the pre-order and then pay with my credit card (better rewards) at order time of ordering. Anything missing here?

Back again.... pre approvals are live for the mini and pro max!
I had the 12 pro and returned it last week before I sent back in my 11 pro on the IUP program. I got a confirmation that the 12 pro loan was cancelled however when I now try to place a pre-order for the mini my Citizen loan is denied for some reason...when I check online it says "You’re eligible for a new iPhone today with a payment of $56.16. In order to upgrade, you’ll have to pay off the remaining balance of your first 12 monthly payments."
Where do I pay this? what is also weird is that I did pay 12 payments already....

Here's hoping everyone receives their new phone soon. My process was incredibly easy. Ordered iPhone 12 on 10/16, arrived on 10/23 (same date as indicated). Trade-in is already processed and I have been credited with the amount they indicated when I traded the phone in. I know others have had issues but the process for me went very smooth. Good luck all and enjoy those new phones!
