I’ve never tried to do what you’re asking, but I would give Apple a call to find out if it’s possible. I don’t know about you, but every time I use my military discount, it seems as though I get my shipping dates later than everyone else. If you decide to call Apple, please let me know what happenes as I may want to use this for future purchases. Good luck!

Thank you! I ordered my MBP using the discount and received it on launch day. This will be my first time ordering an iPhone directly from Apple, though, so I wasn't sure what to expect. All I know is the frenzy is REAL! I see that they apply the discount immediately, but I don't want to wait 2-3 weeks later to receive my device like what sometimes happens with business account orders.
I'm going to give a call, but will just put in the pre-approval since I see I can do it on my phone.
I got that message too. But I'll have to check back later since Im on the 12 Pro sim-free model. I am wondering if I need to do this on the iPhone that is on Verizon?
I have a question when you pay tax on the order do you pay with the credit card on iTunes account or Citzen back
I want to say that the tax will be on you credit card. Looking on my statement from last year, I see the charge, then from there, all charges was through Citizen.
The charge is on the card that I confirmed through the IUP pre-approval process and is the same card that I have for iTunes/App Store.
@beach bum - to follow up: I just talked with Apple over the phone. The discount does not delay the shipment of the phone since it is simply a discount. However, it will not be retroactively applied if it isn't used at the time of purchase. So I'm going to stick to my original plans and wait until Friday morning. All of my information is saved and ready to go and I have back up plans as well.

As someone who always has my iphone held at the ups cc for pickup, I’m considering just picking it up at the Apple Store since I’m on the iup. At the Apple Store, they’ll take my 11 Pro Max right there, inspect it, and close the loan. If I mail in the return device, it can take a while (sometimes a couple of weeks or more) to process, and I don’t have a lot of confidence in the company that handles the process based on complaints that I’ve seen here.
Does it have to match my At&t account credit card that’s the one on my iTunes card and a different one for Citzen ?
Look, and it isn't helping that some people are saying "pre-order"! I was doing a quick forum glance and saw "my Apple pre-order is done" on some posts. You should have seen how I dropped everything, grabbed my wallet, and started opening the site while trying to read what to do to order early at the same time! Like "Wait for meee!"

No, it’s whatever card you want to use. If you have a Visa as your current card but want to use Amex, just keep the Amex on file until after the tax is charged. You will need to call Citizens to update the card if you want your monthly payments charged to the Visa.
Thinking about this too. Do you get appointment options for more than just Launch Day? I won’t be able to get to the store until over the weekend.

You can’t do a trade in with Apple IUP. Skip that step and you should be fine. You can do a trade in separate from IUP and they will send you a gift card for the trade in amount.
Pre-approval is for IUP program. All you need to do is favorite the exact phone you want so you can get to it fast for preorder on Friday. Then on Friday you will put in your payment info.
I have my 1UP pre-approval message on my iPhone where I created the pre-order. On the Apple Store App on my iPad Pro under For You it doesn’t show up. I thought I could see the 1UP pre-approval on both devices? Or not?
