Other Apple.com iPhone 12/Pro/Max/Mini Pre-Order/Order Status/Delivery Thread (2020) [Merged]

I was planning to switch to ATT from Verizon, but I have preordered 512 max from Apple on IUP today for launch day delivery. If I switch to ATT before new iPhone arrives, any idea if I will face any issues in activation of service ? I think if I switch to ATT before new phone arrives, I just need to pop ATT sim to new phone and be good. Any idea if I should switch after new phone goes PFS ?
 
Got my order in a few minutes after 7 CT. Looking forward to tracking it over the next few days.

This is my first time for my iPhone with Apple as well! I'm over the moon with excitement!

I got a taste of tracking a launch order with the 13" MacBook Pro earlier this year in May. It was fun just not nearly as massive as the iPhone usually is. My pre-order experience so far is good. I've done all that I can to make sure everything is smooth on my end. Let's just pray for good weather and smooth shipping!

WOW !!

Its has been 4 hours since pre-order went live and most color and model still showing Deliver / Pick Up on release date .

This year , the Max model isnt popular like the regular Pro . Pro model still showing deliver at Dec , but ProMax still on deliver date . Last month most Pro was slip out deliver date within 5 mins .

First time ever seeing the Max model getting slow selling like this , on previous years ago , all Max / Pro or whatever big screen was sold out within 5 mins , but not this year !

I’m wondering if we all lucked out. For the 12/12 pro launch, it was announced on all of the news stations (at least in my area), but nothing was announced this morning. I guess that they were too busy covering the election.

Looks like Pacific Blue Sim free model Pro Max delivery date just slipped.

Edit Sorry to specify, but I meant the 512 GB model.

There are reports that Apple expected sales would shift towards the Pro model this cycle.

I guess the Verizon BOGO on the Pro Max should have been a clue now that I look back.

I think there was pent up demand for the iPhone this year since there was no typical September launch this time around. Outside of MR, most people just want their phone and aren't overly concerned on details. Waiting for November when we are so close to the holidays probably wasn't the plan for a lot of people. The carriers really pushed out some incentives to get people to upgrade to the 12/12 Pro as well.

Either way, whatever the reason, it helped me get the Pro Max for launch day delivery - Yeeeessss!

At this point, here in Italy, most models have slipped to the end of the month.

I had the same message right at 5:00 AM. I simply force-stopped the app and relaunched it and the store appeared. It was still 5:00 AM. I placed my order and now the wait is on for 13 Nov.

I believe if you wait for the store app to refresh, you risk the chance moving further down in the queue. Killing and restarting the app does an immediate refresh.

Does the year "2020" mean anything to you? Money is tighter this year for many folks.
