apple.com iphone 4 order!! goes from not shiped to prepared for shipment!!!!!

I placed my order on the 15th around 10pm est. The order was supposed to be shipped by the 24th but when I got my confirmation email the next day it said "ships by July 2nd". I was so pissed but now when I checked my order status it says "prepared to ship". So I'm really confused but excited that I may still get it on the launch date. Anyone else getting that status on a "ships by July 2nd" order.

I'm hoping I will. I received my CSS which is a good sign, but still "Not yet shipped." My wife's is prepared to ship but she hasn't received the CSS yet. So I'm confused at this point. Her's was a June 24th and mine was a July 2nd.

Hmmm..mine still has not changed. Still says 'not yet shipped'. I ordered on the 15th at 1030est. It does say it delivers june 24
However i did received my email form ATT about my new CSS and my contract now shows as ending in june 2012...so not did extend it.
Hopefully changes status tomorrow...

Just got shipment notification from apple. States shipment by 23rd but Fedex says delivery for 24th. I'm sure everyone else should be recieving thier tracking numbers shortly.

If things go the same way as the iPad shipments went, we won't see any tracking numbers until the night before delivery. Apple does this to keep the location of the iPhone stash secret for as long as possible.

Time for Download of OS 4.) iPhone

Can anybody please tell me what time I can start downloading the iPhone OS 4.0 ? I live in Toronto, Ontario Canada and my time zone is Eastern Standard Time. Not sure if it will be midnight Pacific Time for download or midnight Eastern Standard Time. I am assuming that I will have to download through iTunes 9.2 or can I go directly to the app store from my iphone?

Checked it last night and mine showed "prepared for shipment". Checked it this morning and its back to showing "not yet shipped".

Don't know whats going on with Apple here. Any explainations?

estimated delivery still the 24th.

That's fast shipping for international... compared to what I've ordered from eBay before.

I received the identical notice.

It looks like Apple wants to avoid all new IPhone 4 owners activating with ATT at the same time, in order to avoid a Deja vu of server crashes.
