apple.com iphone 4 order!! goes from not shiped to prepared for shipment!!!!!

yes,i had ordered from ATT early that morning but never got email conf. or anything after spending most of the day on and off the ph with them they said they didn't think it had gone through,so i went ahead and orderd with Apple but the next morning i get an email it had gone through so i called and canceled,Apple's not sure what happened said they could start new order but wouldn't be delivered till mid jul i said bs i spent 11 hrs trying to oreder it i am disabled and just got out of hospital,i had delivery date of 24th so the rep is talking to management,they better fix this!

Ok, well I am just telling you that last year I got a tracking number 3 days before launch day and when I "tracked" it it was sitting in China. I think a lot of iphones won't ever make it into the "four walls" you speak of and will be handled by UPS from China to my door.

Thanks, Crager, and you make a good point. There may well be some other process that they go through for in-transit inventory allocation. If they can allocate a specific unit en route from a foreign manufacturer to arrive at your door by a promised date, someone really has their stuff together.

I can only speak, in very general terms, about what happens within a particular segment of their supply chain.

The point I was trying to make in my post was that if your order status changed, you were a lock for 7/24.

No offence taken.

mine got cancelled too. im so mad and i talked to an apple rep and he told me they cancelled it because i didnt accept the term and conditions on a second email i was suppose to receive. I only recieved the first one where it gave me the confirmation number. so he told me if i wanted to place an order for july 14. I was like no. Im going camping to the apple store at southpoint in durham,nc. im starting at 7:00pm on june 23, 2010
 
I ordered on Jun 15, 2010 at 07:33 PM PDT and mine still hasn't changed. It still says to be delivered on the 24th but it also still says "Not yet shipped". I'm getting slightly worried.
 
Prepared for shipment

Well mine says prepared for shipment and I am one of the ones that ordered one on Apple and AT&T due to all the problems. I am sure one if not both will get cancelled with my luck!!! Anyway I placed my order with Apple at about 7:pm on the 15th and it now shows prepared for shipment...but I am willing to bet you the stupid AT&T order will screw something up but to scared to cancel it because I am not sure what will happen if I do. LOL
 
Att was the one who told me to go ahead and order with Apple that day on the 15th,because they couldn't find the order i had placed at 5am and didn't think it had gone through so i ordered with Apple,then the next day i get email from att saying it had gone through so i called them and canceled it,i get my Apple order canceled today they say maybe because Att hadn't updated their cancellation yet? i called Att and they said it had been updated i never got terms email from apple either only acknowledgment email i called att and boy i let them have it they told me to order with apple because they couldn't find my order and didn't think it had gone through! Apple had better fix this and reverse the cancellation,i am disabled and in a wheelchair and am very ill the nearest apple store is 100 miles away and i am in no condition to wait in line.By god they better fix this!!!!!:mad:

Call AT&T and cancel your order.
 
Mine officially changed to "prepared for shipment" I am not sure when it changed but I just checked now and it has.

I ordered my 32GB black @ 4:35 PM PDT.

I am now some what at ease. And totally pumped! :D

Nice to know they are working through the weekend.

That sucks man. One of my friends works at the Southpoint store; he'll be doing visuals that night, so you'll get to enjoy staring at a black screen behind the glass!

Apple says they can't fix that i will have to do new order and get after 15th!!!!!! said to call att and see if they could fix already tried that,they won't help even though they caused this mess in the first place,told me to call apple,now i have to wait till the 15th when i was gonna get on the 24th no apple store within 100 miles besides i am disabled ,i have been fu...cked by both companies and i am pissed:mad:
 
prepped for ship

My wife and I both ordered a iphone 4, both are prepped for shipping. We ordered at around 4:34pdt

they'll probably ship from china, maybe they'll hold them until monday and then the status will change to shipped.
 
I am prepared for shipment!

I ordered around 7 PM PDT on the 15th. (I started at midnight, stayed up all night, slept 4 hours, then tried the next day)

I wanted one phone. I rec'd 2 confirmations for two different phones with 2 different order numbers all from Apple.com. When I checked the status online, I had three orders that all went through. As soon as I saw the triple order, I cancelled two of them so there would not be any problems. And it all seems to be working.

Just heard a little bit of Leo Laporte <sp>, the Tech Guy and he said he may not get his phone on the 24... that was all I heard.
 
my one order (my phone) says prepared for shipment. My wife's says not yet shipped. I put them both in one order and it made me cancel my wife's with a message "you have to many iPhones in your cart" even though they were both being upgraded on different plans. Still says June 24th delivery though.
 
I placed my order on the 15th around 10pm est. The order was supposed to be shipped by the 24th but when I got my confirmation email the next day it said "ships by July 2nd". I was so pissed but now when I checked my order status it says "prepared to ship". So I'm really confused but excited that I may still get it on the launch date. Anyone else getting that status on a "ships by July 2nd" order.
