Just checked and the status changed from:

"Not Yet Shipped"

to

"Prepared for shipment. Now stop stalking Order Status or I'm taking your order off the plane!" :)

Anyone else out there who had a July 2nd "Ship by" date whose order has been prepared for shipping? I'm feeling insanely lucky!

Mine is still "Not Yet Shipped" you lucky sun of a gun

Oh well, with 600k people getting them at once, it might take until July 2nd for me to activate anyway :p

My order at roughly 2pm PDT is prepared for shipment but my order at 1:30pm isn't! they were both ordered on same apple account if that makes a difference, but for two different lines.

It still says delivers june 24th though.

I would have, absolutely, without a doubt, ordered from Apple if they hadn't screwed everything up! I never would have chosen to order through AT&T if it wasn't my last resort. They are unbelievably unreliable and always have been.

I first showed up at the AT&T store after realizing apple.com was down and there was maybe three other people in there reserving the new iPhone. The sales associate STILL insisted that I wouldn't get my phone until the 25th or 26th. Me being naive, or just assuming that common sense would prevail, I left the AT&T store and called the Apple store. They said their computers were down too, as they supposedly use the same system the site does and to just keep trying.

I tried and tried until I went on this site and saw that people were getting there preorders through AT&T with success. I was very reluctant, but eventually fell into the peer pressure and ordered through them and its been a headache ever since. At this point i'll probably get my phone on the 28th, after I read all the happy stories from those who ordered off apple.com or showed up at the store at around 2 pm with a reservation. (I have a reservation too, but without canceling my att order, i'm scr*wed. Thanks :apple:

Yes, many AT&T reps are idiots. Yes, their tracking is somewhat poor, as they just don't update on the status much at all from the moment it's In Progress till the moment it is Shipped. BUT, I'm confident many people will receive their iPhone 4 on June 24th who ordered through AT&T. It's just when you go around calling/asking AT&T reps questions, you're bound to get a different answer from each and every one of them, so there's just no use in doing it.

Mine has changed too :) Prepared for shipment.

Ordered mine at 5:07 Pm EST on the 15th

The one I ordered first is "Not yet shipped" and the one I ordered second is "Prepared for Shipment". I did get a CSS e-mail from AT&T.

[EDIT]: Both are now "Prepared for Shipment" 6/19 @ 8:25 AM PT and two CSS e-mails from AT&T. Both were ordered on launch day from Apple's site. One at 1:30 PM PT and the other at 2:30 PM PT.

I feel for you. I came very close to doing the same thing after trying on Apple's site for almost 10 hours. The last thing I wanted to do was trust AT&T to get it to me on launch day. I decided to give it one last big push with the order process going in several browser windows, and I finally got it to go through.

Mine is prepared for shipment. Order Date: Jun 15, 2010 at 01:47 PM PDT.

My order for AppleCare is complete...it ships separately.

My wife's is Prepared for Shipment and I ordered it at 5:01PM PDT, mine is still Not Yet Shipped and I ordered it at 4:31PM PDT. Looks like their order fulfillment servers are running on the RPN system...:p

I'll try to go to my local FedEx and get it early.... hell, its worth a shot!

apple already thought ahead on that one, too.... they don't send the iphones to the delivering facility until that morning.... they get them to the hub and hold them there....

My status just changed to "Prepared for Shipment" within the last couple of hours....around 2100 to 2200 PDT.

I ordered at 1652 PDT on 6/15.

I wonder why do they do first come first serve?

I ordered at 6:12 AM on launch day still no change here :(

Is this only applicable for the usa version? I ordered 2 32gb from the uk (Order Date: Jun 15, 2010 at 01:11 PM GMT) and still shows 'another shipped yet. Delivers on 24th June'

Cheers
