Apple.COM iPhone 4S Pre-Order Status Thread

If you go to UPS.com and enter your phone number as the reference number and your zip code, you may find that your shipment has already been sent. This was the case for me. My apple.com order status is preparing for shipment, but I was able to find a tracking number on ups.com using the track by reference number option and entering my cellphone number as the reference number.
 
Anyone who has delivery on the 14th still processing? I already got the order conformation and the credit card has been charged but I'm still nervous it won't get here on the 14th. :(

You might want to give them a call if its still processing. Mine says that and i called, turns out theres a problem, ive been on the phone with att and apple for almost two hours now, and right now i'm on hold-its still not fixed. If yr still processing, give em a call. If i hadnt, i'd never have known there was a problem.

Wife's Black 16GB iPhone 4S is shipped, ordered around 0630 Friday.
A Black iPhone 4 8GB bought for my mom still shows 'Processing Items'. This was ordered on Oct.4
 
Mine still says "preparing for shipment"- ordered around roughly 8am

Nothing from FedEx either.

I got spoiled last year when I got my phone a day early, so this is my penance haha.

Same phone I ordered 11AM on Friday and it shows as processing still. Credit card has been charged and everything. I called Apple and they said everything looks fine and will deliver "no later or sooner than Oct. 14th"

I'm going to call again tomorrow if I don't get tracking lol

I ordered around 7:30 PM EST. They said everything's fine though so I won't worry...too much ;) .
 
Dang!!!! Those of you that have a shipment in progress are making me anxious because my apple web tracking still says "processing Items"! I don't know how long it will take for me to see some activity on the web. I sure hope the new iPhone arrives by Friday.
 
I ordered two phones, about two minutes apart. One of them left the Alaska hub last night and I got the email with tracking info last night as well. The other just left China today! Amazing the difference that 120 seconds can make.
 
32GB Black on AT&T. Ordered from Apple.com in the first seconds they were taking preorders -- the CSS wouldn't even load on the pages because it wasn't up yet when I started ordering! :D

Mine is sitting in Louisville and I ordered mine at 630. It doesnt matter what time you pre-ordered yours as long as you pre ordered it they will be there by the 14th maybe even a day early.

My order still says "Processing Items." Called Apple and they said nothing was holding up the order.

I had gotten up early and placed the pre-order reservation in by 4am but didn't get a chance to place the actual order till 9pm since I was traveling. Here's to hoping it still ships and shows up by 10/14.

I'll be interested to see how it works for you. I'm in the same boat except I wasn't travelling, I was getting my hair done, napping, and having a couple afternoon cocktails. But I did not order until 10 or 11, I think it was closer to 11 pm EST. My order details are the same.

Not that I think the iPhone choice makes a lick of difference in terms of order processing but which one did you get? I ordered the 64GB White.
 
Preparing Shipment at Apple.com but reference lookup at ups.com shows Departure scan at Shenzhen. Apple shipment email should arrive any minute.
 
Ordered around 7AM Pacific.
Apple.com still says "preparing for shipment" and haven't received any shipping notification.

However, UPS.com has the package tracking now!
Seems a bit later than most on here, so all those who haven't found theirs on UPS.com shouldn't lose hope! :)

Still in preparing for shipment, but I just found it on UPS.com with the reference number. Didn't work a half hour ago.
