Apple.com: iPhone 6s / 6s Plus Order Tracking

I'm a little concerned...ordered 30 minutes after pre orders went live, my card was hit Sunday but only authorized. It was sitting in PFS since then and today went back to Processing WTF????
 
Still haven't received a shipping notice from Apple, but my new iPhone is already apparently in the United States according to UPS (track by reference number). Interesting that they're out of sync, or is this normal for new iPhone deliveries on launch day?

It did come form China originally. The carriers do not always provide every scan of a package.

Your phone was consolidated with a lot of other phones on a pallet under one MASTER tracking number to PA. Now that it has been broken out from the others and is moving on to finally delivery It's moving under its own individual tracking number.

Yes, it seems the orders are one of three things here:

1) If coming from China, it seems many are able to use track by reference with billing zip code and billing phone number.

2) If coming from US, it seems many are able to do the same. Others are reporting that it shows in their my choice even though reference tracking doesn't show it.

3) It seems many who do not have or are ineligible for my choice aren't able to track it by the above mentioned ways, and will have to wait for a tracking number from Apple.

I have 3 6s and 1 6s+ coming. 1 of the 6s is coming from China and is tracking by ref, the 6s+ is coming from China and tracking by ref. The other 2 6s are not trackable by ref, and my guess is they'll come from the US. All four are in my support profile so I'm not at all worried. Wish UPS MyChoice would allow commercial addresses to be added. :-(

This seems correct our 5pm ZZ are heading to RKSI and then to PANC

I did my preorder on a 12th September, maybe few hours after opening window but my order still says processing,
Available to ship: 2-3 weeks
My CC hasn't been charged and delivery date is between 5th October and 9th!!! It doesn't make any sense because if you go now to the preorder page the dates of delivery are between 01 and 08th October.

What the hell?

I read that people who preordered on 13th are getting it on a launch day...

Much depends on what model and color you ordered, not just the time ordered.

Very normal. Apple won't change status to shipped until most likely tomorrow, maybe today but highly doubt it. I think it's so that people don't try and mess with the delivery and then delay it and get upset with them, but that's just my guess.
 
Mine left ZZ yesterday, arrived in ANchorage and now on its way out to Chicago hopefully.

I think it's so the shipping time can seem faster to the customer.

Normal folks don't search by reference on the ups site, because Apple's already told them they'd receive the phone on the 25th. By Apple sending out shipping notices on the 24th, it will seem like overnight shipping to the customer.

Mines still says preparing for shipment. I'm still wondering how is it going to be delivered on Sept 25th on time with only 2 days left. I can understand if it was in China or in da States already.

Update: OK, So i signed into my UPS account and I see I have a pkg on its way for Friday the 25th delivery. It's coming from From:
"AI MOUNT JULIET, TN, US" I guess thats it cuz I haven't order anything else that would have showed up on UPS system. Strange cuz on Apple it still says Preparing for shipment.

Weirdest thing happened last night. I tried to track by reference again and it still didn't work using phone number and order number. Then immediately afterwards I created a USP My Choice account and it magically popped up under my account. It even shows the phone number and order number minus the last two digits as reference numbers on the tracking page. Totally weird BUT I have tracking and my phone made it to Louisville, KY this morning.

Definitely not how it's been in past orders for me. But, I'm in the same boat. Apple.com says processing, and I was able to get a tracking number through UPS My Choice, but the package is sitting in Philadelphia, and has been for two days now. Origin scan is from Harrisburg, PA, so I'm guessing it must've been pre-staged.

Still would be nice if it moved along though. With all that's going on in Philly these next few days, that's probably the worst place for it to be sitting if there's any expectation of on-time delivery.
