Yes, many many people. Apple hasn't updated most people's (anyone's?) status to reflect reality.

Mine says that as well on the Apple site for Order Statues. On the UPS site it says that mine is in Louisville and is "In Transit: On time." So you'll get it on release day.

Mine arrived in Louisville as well, wonder where it'll go next. Final destination is NYC (not in the affected ZIP codes), where would the closest UPS hub be? Does anyone know?

An indirect signature is required. You should be able to print the signature form from your order on Apple's website. The driver has the discretion to not leave the package at your door even if you've left a signature.

You could request that FedEx hold for pickup at the hub. If you're in Fort Worth, the package will almost certainly be at the Mark IV Parkway hub on Friday, either for delivery or for pickup (if you request).

More than likely it is Anchorage, Alaska. That's where mine went after it left Taiwan. From there it'll move to Louisville.

Yes, a signature is required. When Apple changes your status to "Shipped" in their system, there will be a form available for you to fill out and hang on your door. BUT, be aware that it is the driver's (or their manager's) discretion whether or not to actually leave the phone if you're not there to sign for it in person - they don't have to leave it just because the pre-auth slip is there. So it's better to be there or to have your package held for pick-up if you can't.
