My order status at apple.com still says, "Preparing for Shipment" with a delivery date of 9/25. If it has not shipped yet, is there still a chance it will arrive on the 25th?

When I look up my UPS tracking number, by reference since I haven't received a shipping notification, it shows the status, "Order Processed: Ready for UPS"

Does anyone know if phones are shipped overnight even though "standard shipping" is the delivery method?

Anyone else seeing the same status on their end?

Your phone is likely already in the US. The only people who have tracking are the phones that are coming from China.

I have tracking for my RG 6S but not for my SG 6S. One is a week 38 (RG) and one is a week 36. Likely means the week 36 was already in the Us.

If you have a delivery date of 9/25 you will receive it on 9/25 unless you are affected by the pope.

Not only is there a chance, but it is an almost certainty. Unless you live in NY or PA. :) "Standard Shipping" in my case, turns out to be Next Day Air Saver.

The phones that are already in the US are shipping Next Day Saver, so they won't actually ship out until tomorrow.

Harrisburg, PA, United States 09/23/2015 9:27 A.M. Package is in transit to a UPS facility
Harrisburg, PA, United States 09/22/2015 9:32 A.M. Departure Scan
09/22/2015 9:32 A.M. Origin Scan
United States 09/21/2015 11:02 P.M. Order Processed: Ready for UPS

Finally got my tracking updated, I'm guessing my phone missed the truck yesterday or something.

Mine is the same as yours but doesn't have the Departure Scan... :( Mine's headed to Los Angeles.

That is a good sign that your package is about to move! Apple's website is not updating in realtime. That's what I just found out.

Can you tell me what to do to track my phone? I tried my order number and all of my account phone numbers with the UPS tracking. Mine still says preparing to ship also.

Here are some notes to help track orders:

Apple will automatically add your phone with it's serial number in your support profile. You can see it here:
https://supportprofile.apple.com/

You can look up the week of manufacture and factory here: http://www.chipmunk.nl/klantenservice/applemodel.htmlor

It will say that until tomorrow. Or maybe even this evening. Don't worry.
Why? Are they shipping next day air from the US? I thought they were from China.... Bottom line I don't care where they ship, I want it overnighted.

For people in New York or Philadelphia, this information is posted on the "front page" of MacRumors:

New York City: 10001, 10007, 10017, 10021, 10022, 10023, 10029
Philadelphia: 19102, 19103, 19104, 19106, 19107, 19109, 19123, 19130, 19146, 19147

Package pick ups and deliveries will be unavailable in areas of New York City on Thursday and Friday, and in areas of Philadelphia on Friday and Saturday. With Saturday delivery available, many who are not able to get their phones on Friday may be able to have them delivered on Saturday instead, and both UPS and FedEX may allow customers to route packages to an area where deliveries are available.

For customers outside of New York and Philadelphia, the first iPhone 6s and 6s Plus pre-order shipments will be arriving on Friday, September 25.

So finally my 'created label only' status actually turned into something - no tracking but it says that my phone (I assume it is since it shows up with my phone number as a reference, but oddly, not my order number minus the last 2 digits) is in Nashville set to be delivered by next day air (to St. Louis- they could drive it here in about 6 hours). I thought the major hub was in Knoxville or Louisville ...but still, at least I finally have something.

So from Nashville it will almost certainly go up to Louisville, KY and then back down to Tampa from there. It may get flown up tomorrow but as it's only approx a 3 hr drive could go by road tomorrow too.
Thanks. I hope they drove it up today. There's a flight leaving Louisville for Tampa at 3:15 EDT

I wish there was a way to sticky this on top of each page of this thread. Then people would stop saying their phone is still preparing for shipment on the apple order website.

Did anyone get there case and screen protectors yet. Mine is coming in today via UPS haha. I am trying out glass screen protector this time around

Some are shipping from China, some are shipping from warehouses in the US. The ones from China are shipping already. The ones from the US are for the most part just being scanned in at the various facilities and then sitting. They won't actually ship out until tomorrow as they're going Next Day Air Saver.

Just called UPS, they will be holding mine at the CC. They said they open at 7AM but to wait an hour probably and they will have it ready by 8. Just go and get it over with and moving on.

JUST refreshed the UPS tracking info and it now shows the phone left Nashville, TN at 10:30 this morning. So much for accurate tracking information ;-)
