we're not going to see any preparing for shipment until next weekend at the earliest....
Most of us should switch over the weekend, but last year there were some reports of going 'preparing for shipment' as early as 8 days before launch.
 
Time flies so fast. I remember last year I tracked my shipment everyday. At beginning it was from China, then Osaka, Japan then the US. It feel both excited and frustrated to wait for something. Now the cycle repeats.

As in most years UPS has the tracking info before Apple give it to you. So starting next week you might want to try track by reference no (your phone number) or by using UPS My Choice.
 
Processing and nothing added to my support profile yet.

For those who have UPS My Choice, can you request they keep it in their facility for pick up or is that not possible? UPS always comes very late for me, and I would like to get the phone early in the day.

Everyone always say that it should show up on your profile when you order from Apple. But each time I have preordered my phone with Apple, it has never shown up there before arriving. And yes I am checking the correct site. Do I have to enable this feature?
 
Both my orders are "Processing". Worried about one of my orders, as one credit card I used for my 6S hasn't been processed, yet the one used to purchase my 6S+ did right when I completed the preorder.
 
This is like Apple Watch preorder all over again. I've always reserved iPhones for store pick up, but this time had one delivered home and another upgrade program in store. I recall the Apple Watch orders didn't start moving until a few days before launch day and shipment originated from Apple facilities in different parts of US. For those who usually get their phones through UPS, signing up My Choice could make things much easier.

If I had used my MyChoice option to pick the phone up at the local hub last year, I could have had it at around 11 am instead of 9:37 pm and a missed dinner out with my girlfriend.

It'll be worse if the delivery man didn't even bother to come and lied there were nobody available. Hold at local hub is the best choice on launch day.
 
What kind of UPS facility are you looking for when it comes to picking it up from them instead of having them deliver it to you?
