It's heeeere!

I opened the door as the guy was walking up and he said, "Waiting for me, eh?" I remarked that he was earlier than normal, and he said that was because he wasn't the normal guy and confirmed that they had extra drivers and trucks working today. Nice to not have to wait till after 8pm like in past years.

I asked this in another thread, but it's not too active now. So anyway...

I tried to see if my local Verizon store had the 6s in stock, but they said the account owner had to be present. I'm on a family plan and my dad is the account owner. Does Apple have the same policy? If I have the SSN, would they let me upgrade without the account owner present? With the off chance they have the model I want in stock.

you need to have your dad's last 4 digits of ssn then should be fine

Does anyone know how late UPS drivers will be delivering the iPhone? I know they say 7, but I know drivers still deliver after 7.

Ok, cool. I never even told the salesperson at Verizon I had the last 4 digits of the SSN, so I wonder if they would've allowed that. They said they still had the model I wanted in stock, so I'll give it another try tomorrow with my dad's information.

General rule is, once they've delivered everything in their truck. I've had UPS show as late as 9PM (not for an iPhone) before to deliver stuff (more during Christmas, etc.)

When i went to the UPS CC in Cincinnati at around 4pm, they told me they were still waiting on the last truck of incoming iPhones to the city and that they were staying open at least an hour late tonight so people could come pick them up.

Shady... but my iPhone 5 was deliver by some dude in a ups shirt and an old toyota corolla at like 830 at night.

Apple sent the T-Mobile version and I ordered AT&T. I have to send it back and wait until they receive it to reorder (I paid in full). And now ship dates have moved to 10/13-10/19. As a consolation they gave me a $15 off $100 order coupon. Woopdee F'N Doo.

Thats nice of UPS. They didn't have to stay open late.

Was it the plus? Some people were speculating there were shortages of pluses and more of the international common T-Mobile version, so Apple was going to send those to some AT&T customers as it would only lack Band 30. Do you think that is what happened?

I called Apple about the screwup in my delivery address (wrong zip) and resultant delay. The gal on the phone was extremely nice and changed the zip to the right one. I'd already put the correct zip in the UPS site where it said there was an issue with the delivery address. I read somewhere in this thread that the delivery address had to match the address on the order. So I'm hopeful there's Saturday deliveries in this area or, at the least, a Monday delivery (ugg.)

I asked the Apple gal to check my delivery address that's on file (never had a problem before). She told me the CARRIER provides the delivery address for an Apple iPhone order. I have Verizon. I also do NOT have house mail delivery. We have to go to the Post Office to get our mail. I ALWAYS have to fight with Verizon because they insist there's no such address in their data bank, which is the Post Office's data bank. So that's where the zip code was changed to the neighboring community that DOES have house mail delivery. THANK YOU VERIZON!

Un-believable! Never had this problem in all the years I've been getting new iDevices. Never. SOOO frustrating.

UPS out for delivery since 6:30 am local time, and almost 5 pm now in NorCal and still not here.

Must be busy. Usually get my UPS deliveries by noon.

Not a +.

And did it even have a T-Mobile sim in it? Obviously it was just a mistake if that is the case. Sorry it happened to you though. What a bummer! It's too bad you can't take another several hundred hit on your credit and keep that one until your new one arrives, or at least until your return window closes. Good luck.

I called UPS and they told me that they may have not had time to scan out for delivery in order to get them out on the trucks as soon as possible. She said don't worry, but I can't help it.
