I have the same UPS tracking status that most of you have already posted. I plan on scheduling pickup instead of delivery but I'm wondering if I should choose the hub (25 miles away) or the UPS store (3 miles away). If I choose the store, will it be available for pickup when it opens or do I have to wait for the truck to deliver it to the store first?
I recommend doing the hub. In the past holding at a store has caused extra delivery time for people.

Last year sending to the store added a day to delivery.

I did CC pickup for my 6+ last year, and ups store pickup for my air2. I called ups customer service, and they said that it'd likely be Avila one earlier at the cc, and couldn't promise availability at the ups store until the end of e day, though drivers tend to drop off at stores earlier in the day. (This was true, picked up my air2 at 11a.) So as with most things, ymmv.

I set this one to pickup at the cc, since it's equidistant between my home and work. Store delivery near home means waiting al day and fighting the crowd, and store delivery near work means that if it's late, I have to wait until Monday.

I'll say it for the 1 millionth time, if your order shows a delivery date of 9/25 that's when you'll be receiving it!

During previous iPhone launches they sometimes charged me a couple days after I received my phone.

Obviously.. he knows it will come by the 9/25. What WE all want to know... if for a glimmer of hope it will come early.

This is probably true. I've unloaded trailers at UPS that contain 2nd Day Air packages, which get processed throughout our local hub. I believe Next Day Air arrive at UPS airport hubs and go straight from the airport to the delivery truck, but I could be wrong on this.

I've got my phone on my support profile and am able to see the tracking through UPS My Choice. Confirmation email at 12:04 PST and is shipping to Utah

No charge, processing, 128 64 6s+ att Next ordered via Apple Store app at 3:05 edt with Apple Pay.

I just called Apple since my Apple Pay profile name did not match my card. She updated it and had to follow up on a "special note" in my profile. She came back 10 minutes later after talking to an expert and said "ok it's nothing major, don't worry, you're still scheduled to get it on the 25th."

Utah... Thanks. I wish people would mention their state in getting shipping confirmation of their order. Can help in deciding how Apple is processing customers orders... I'm just waiting on my support profile to be updated with my serial number, hopefully it will happen in the next few hours..

I also have just checked my UPS My Choice options to either deliver to a CC or a UPS Store. The CC has a confirmed delivery of 9/25 while the Store has a delivery date of 9/28, so it looks like the shipments will be delayed if you want to pick it up in store

Has anyone in Texas got a preparing to ship update or a tracking number yet?

I've gotta Preparing for Shipment update.. just waiting for the serial number to show up in the support profile page. I'll know then I can get the tracking number information.

I'm in Washington and have a shipped phone in tracking.

If you ordered real early (first 10-15 minutes) I don't think it has to do with location unless you are really far away from a warehouse. Last time I got a phone I was in that real super early group and got a phone that originated in the US instead of China. Apple has had even more time this year to stage phones in the US instead of shipping them all individually from China.

I'm in Metro Phoenix, Arizona and I'm still in Processing with no further info. I ordered at 12:07 PST.
