Just now got charged the amount but not shipped yet. Hopefully soon it will move from processing.

Upd. 20 min later preparing to ship now.

Thanks! It was attempted for sure yesterday, but no one was at home and this is new to me (ups did not offer online signatures for drop off next to door - i get it too risky).

So they attempted today and finally got it one hour ago. Yet to unpack to post a pic!

Funny, my ups just dropped my macbook at my door step, didnt even know or anything, luckily i was home. Even though it clearly says on it signature required

Yeah, my neighborhood as well. They just drop it by the door. Thankfully, my door sits back quite far from the street and not visible, but yeah.

It was a present for 10y anniversary for my wife, and she is fine using my m1 pro 14 she said and would rather kitchenaid mixer (do we have forum for that? Just kidding).

I guess no pics, this goes to store back unpacked sadly. But i am glad that old 14 gets some use (used for old job current is in office).

Oh my. I must have got in under the wire. Mine was supposed to come April 7 but was moved up a few days to April 3. I will say this, prior to this there were a few folks in my life that had a MB Air, I know and have talked to over a dozen folks who have ordered one.

IMO glad you kept order directly though Apple

I'm sure works fine for most but have heard issues with Amazon sending our returned items or not 100% confident on how box was treated before shipping

Well, I wouldn’t go by shipping standards. My nice expensive MacBook was recently just tossed on my door step by ups, no signature, didn’t even ring the door bell. That’s shipped directly from Apple lol

Told - no - none are in stock.

Apple rep said when I pick up the repaired iPad next week to check again.

In the meantime my wife's Blush Neo just went up from first week of May to last week of April.

there's currently a shortage of binned A18 pro chips which is why there is huge delays on the neo. there is also unavailability on higher specced RAM in the Mac mini and you can't have higher RAM in the mac studios.

RAM is part of the package so I wonder if Apple has allocated Mac mini / Studio RAM to M5 chips so these models have to wait until they are upgraded before getting more RAM again.

My reasoning is the M5 Pro / Max CPUs are available with max RAM allotments in a semi-timely fashion. My 128GB M5 Max MBP 14 I ordered on April 1 should be here this week for example (it’s already shipped).

Yes it has affected the Studio and Mini as you are looking for long wait times for anytime other than the base models.

I would hold off on buying a Mac Studio or Mac mini right now if you can.

No, Apple is most likely removing higher memory models of the M3 ultra to conserve more to the M5 ultra. This is the same with the higher end M4 mac mini's as well.

Mother's day gift for her - hoping she will be happier than using the achingly slow and awful 16" i7 MBP...

While at the Apple store picking up an iPad Pro repair, I asked the genius person if they happen to have any blush Neos in stock.

He said yes and I grabbed it for $499 (EDU pricing).

Cancelled my online order now I can rest easy I have my wife's gift in hand.

I'm currently in Hong Kong, and Neo order delivery dates are currently around 2 weeks. However I kept checking every morning cause sometimes they get some in stock and a few days ago every store in the city got Neos in stock so I ordered right away and picked it up the same day. I kept checking even after I bought mine just cause I was curious and their refreshed stock lasted around 2 days before orders slipped back to 2 weeks wait.

Went into my nearest Apple Store yesterday because I had some marks on my M4 MBA screen and was curious about trading. They had an indigo 512GB Neo in stock. Took about 15 minutes to trade my MBAfor $560, plus $100 off for edu discount since I'm in college. I ended up paying $50 for a brand new Neo and I'm loving it. It's slightly smaller, but feels more substantial and durable, and not having the notch is actually really nice. I had been considering getting an iPad mini 8 when/if they release but this is close enough to the iPad feeling with the uniform bezel and size that I don't think I will. Keyboard feels better too and I love the trackpad. Overall feels like an upgrade for me even though the spec sheet says it was a downgrade.
