So when you canceled your online order did it free up your upgrade eligibility right away?
That I can't speak for since when I placed an order I choose the pay in full option.

But of course my cc isn't charged yet so I should be okay using that cc

Thanks anyway. I remember when I paid my last installment with AT&T next so I could upgrade it was immediate updates with Apple and AT&T systems. I'm hoping the reverse is the same when I cancel my order.
 
I looked at reserving one in store, but they did not have a 64GB or 128GB in Space Gray or Silver in Louisville but they did have both in Gold and Rose Gold.
 
Yay i reservered a 64GB Silver at 10:30 i first tried to get the rose gold but i wanted the silver more anyways i whoulda got the rose gold just becuase resell value is higher when i resell to get iphone 7 so happy
 
Just got my reservation for in-store. AT&T Space Gray 128 GB. Glad I jumped on it quick because within 5 mins that model was sold-out. Couldn't get the 10:00-10:30am reservation time but got the 10:30-11:00am. Hoping it's not too crazy of a wait time and process to go through.

Update: Was first in line at the apple store, got my AT&T 6S Plus Space Gray model was in and out in less than 5 minutes. Bought it device only and haven't unboxed it yet. Will do later.

Glad I got mine on launch weekend. I canceled my online order earlier and had no issues. No longer have to wait 3-4 weeks.

omg yes i am so happy i canceled my order and reserved it worth the all nighter ( didnt know there was a 2nd reservation today untill i saw on reddit) How long was the line people before you? how early did you come? and congrats

I arrived at the apple store around 9:15 am (Apple store is inside the mall but they still open at 8 am for those who does mall walks), there was couches so I sat there for a bit and started lining up at 9:40 am ish (that is when people really started to come). Technically there was someone before me but they didn't reserve and the Apple rep had made a line strictly for those who already have reservation and a next to it another line for those who want to make reservation. I was first in line for the reservation.

And thanks. I no longer have to obsess checking my order status. Now I just need to wait for the screen protector to come, which hasn't shipped yet.

Originally was 10/1-6 then slipped to 10/6-12 ...

On Thursday, it slipped again to 10/9-13, but a few hours later, my credit card was charged, and it switched over to "Preparing For Shipment".


On Saturday morning, I got a shipment notice saying that it shipped out from ZhengZhou. The estimated delivery is unfortunately all the way out to Friday, which won't work for me as I am leaving on a 3-week long business trip. I'll see if I can have UPS MyChoice forward it to an appropriate location for me.
 
YES I GOT MY IPHONE 6s + silver by reserving it at 8 today so happy didnt wait 3 weeks took me 30mins max the guy aid i was his favorite costumer because i went in and out quick LMAO
 
I managed to reserve a gold 128gb plus this morning picked it up just couple hours ago and I'm going to cancel the rose gold online order .. Still shows the original delivery date of 9-16/10 ... I sort of changed my mind too the rose gold looks really pink go me and with the dock is complete overload lol
 
I just got back from picking up the 6s Plus 64gb SG. They didn't have 128gb so I checked my phone. I use 47GB and ten of that was podcasts so I'll be fine with the 64gb. I got there just in time for the reservations system to go down so it took over an hour to get to an associate. All in all good experience though.
 
In fact, with the reservations system down, that website is now useless

So I got my phone picked up. Got there at 10:15am and was walking to my car by 11:00am. I had a reservation for 10:30am.

They let you activate the phone yourself now if you want to. I remember last year if you were upgrading you had to activate in store. But now to speed up the process and keep the lines down they pretty much just check you out and there is your phone. If you want them to set it up for you they will, and they send you to the Genius counter at the back of the store. I chose to set it up myself at home. I've always wanted to be the one to open the box.

What is funny is that we here are sooooo very into this product launch, but I saw at least 10 people poke their heads in the door and ask "What is the line for?" haha

Does anybody know if there is a way to adjust the strength of the taptic engine? I want it on max but can't find a setting. I guess there may not be one.

Same here. I wasn't looking forward to the wait. It's dangerous being in that store though. I almost bough a new case and watch band.

LOL! Totally understand, good thing for me I was only at the entrance of the store for the whole transaction. Otherwise I'm tempted to shop. Next big thing for me might be the iPad Pro!
 
I placed my order for a 128GB rose gold 6s+ at midnight Hawaii time the night that they started accepting preorders. I tried to go with AT&T first, but I didn't like the shipping estimate of mid October so I went with apple.com
My original shipping estimate was Oct 6-12. Thursday night my order status on apple.com changed to shipped. I was really excited when I looked at the shipping tracker and it had a delivery date of October 1st. I've been checking the shipping status for the past two days and my phone is still sitting in Hong Kong... Not very thrilled that I haven't seen any movement in the tracking for such a long time.
 
I got lucky today!!

I preordered and had a delivery date of 10-8 to 10-15. 6S+

I kept checking Apples website and low and behold I was able to reserve a Gold 6S+ from my local store.

This phone is Faaasssttt!!

I had to wait until September 23 to preorder since I'm on contract with Verizon. I ordered the 6s+ 128gb in Rose Gold at about 10 PM on the 23rd via the Apple website, with a new Verizon 2-year contract. Cost $499. Apple order status: Processing Items - Available to Ship: 3-4 weeks; Delivers: 21 Oct - 28 Oct.

I hope Apple is underpromising and will deliver sooner. I'm upgrading from a 5s and I cannot wait for my new phone!
