Very odd. I just checked 3 orders all done on the 25th at 3:35am est, and all say "processing" Screen shot of those that say they have preparing would be nice.

Yeah mine is still processing. Not worried. My watch didn't show shipped until the day before and I still got it on launch day.

Looks like they may be shipping out the phones for delivery THIS Friday!! Awesome.

Eh, no. If any devices are actually starting to ship now, they will end up in a staging warehouse and sit there until next Friday. No one will (purposefully) get their new iPhones before the 25th unless they've got a review model from Apple.

My 6s Plus Silver 64GB is still processing. ordered from Canada Apple Store. Confirmation came in at 3:05AM

Some of them need the direct signature and won't leave the phone even with the signature form. It depends on what their manager has instructed them to do.

That happened with my last iPhone delivery. I put the form on the door just in case I didn't hear the knock when the driver arrived. I thought it was fine since the form was there, but nope. I had to call UPS and arrange to meet the driver on her route to get my phone. The driver apologized and explained that even though Apple had the form she still wasn't allowed to leave it.

That's true. On an iPad launch day, I had put the signature form on the door just in case I couldn't get to the door in time, and I was watching as the FedEx driver pulled up. He had the iPad in hand, saw the form on the front door, put the iPad back in the truck and got a door tag: he wasn't going to knock since he saw my signature form and assumed that no one was home. The driver has the discretion to not leave the package even with an indirect signature because they know of the risk of these high value items being stolen. Fortunately, I saw him and avoiding wasting a day of waiting around.

Just for anyone freaking out about the pope this year... My 6 last year actually came from Harrisburg (I'm sure it was made in China, but the original shipment was Harrisburg to here). They will likely ship people within the affected area their phones to their local hubs a day before everything gets messed up, so that they are not trying to send huge trucks into these major areas. They'll still be held until the 25th, but I would assume that Apple and UPS at some point discussed this. It may also be a reason why the preorder is 2 weeks rather than 1 this year.
I'm in the Philly suburbs & the Pope will be here that weekend. I know there's gonna be a lot of major highways & main roads shut down starting Fri 9/25. Hopefully they'll somehow make it work

Wow...too bad you can't have them hold it at UPS/Fedex to pick it up. But I am pretty sure the contract with Apple says they have to make one delivery attempt first.
