I'm sad face: plug in iPhone 5 and it says I need iTunes 7... Download iTunes 7 and it says I need OS X 10.6.8. I have a late-2008 MacBook with OS X 10.5.8

Might have to buy a new MacBook to use my iPhone. Anyone have experience upgrading an old MacBook to mountain lion (or whatever we are at right now)? Should I just buy the new MacBook Pro?

:)

Got mine in St. Louis, MO at 9:42 and it was activated by 9:50! So easy! Now doing a restore from iCloud!

This thing is so light! It makes me really nervous because it feels so fragile!

Any ideas where to go look for a "holster" that clips to your belt? My old one is slightly too small now!!!

Sounds like you ran the activation of the iPhone 5 before calling AT&T. If that's the case you'll have to go into the store and get a new SIM.

Seems like that's not true. He says he did the swap, then turned on the phone. People are reporting that it will show the donor number, but if you keep going it is activated to the swapped number. I haven't done it yet so can't confirm. But that is what multiple people have said in the AT&T swap thread.

I have a late 2007 MacBook Pro running mountain lion great!

Just got word from my Dad, it arrived with 20 minutes to spare! He made a joke about opening it already since I'm at work

For that, I am gonna stop by, pick it up from him, drive home, then open it...

well, no, I will pick it up from him, go to my car, open it there...

Additional: Time to get some serious work done and attempt to turn the rest of the day into a blur instead of what will feel like an eternity.

I would just take it to who ever your carrier is to activate it for now then worry about the computer later.

Nobody would want that.

Go find that thread. Just keep going. It should activate on your line.

Sorry got to run to work but just real quick, do you mean keep going with activation on bootup even though it shows the other number?
