Could someone explaint to me where did they find this "delivery by 10:30" or whatever thing? Mine says "Approximate Delivery Time: By End of Day" - this and the fact that I have to sign for the package doesn't make it any easier..

Edited, nevermind, figured it out

Add me to the recent group who now has tracking on UPS. ready for UPS out of Nashville.

Anyone know a way to tell if more then one phone is part of a shipment?

I have logged into the support profile and there is nothing saying what my serial number is!! Am I doing something wrong?? Please advise.....

Are you logging into supportprofile.apple.com with the same Apple ID that was used to order the phone? Did you order directly from Apple.com or the Apple Store iOS app? If yes to both, then it may just take a little more time for it to show up for you. Patience. ;)

Got my buddy to check his. He ordered 12:10 pacific 32 gb white sprint.

It is in nashville but left this evening to who knows where

Can you get him to log into supportprofile.apple.com and give you the last four characters of the phone's serial for the list?

I'm starting to get worried. The iPhone doesn't show up on the support website with the serial numbers and neither for the UPS reference tracking.

I ordered the Sprint 16gb at 3:08 and its preparing for shipment, if that matters

I'm in same boat as you, with AT&T though, I'm sure all is kosher we are just slower than others. :)

Finally got my UPS tracking number. I'm happy to finally get it. UPS delivers most every day in my apartment complex, but not until 1pm. I now really wish I had the chance for in store pickup when I made the purchase.

Don't (worry). It will show up - preparing for shipment goes all the way from a piece of paper popping out of a printer in a Chinese factory, someone fetching your particular phone, scanning it into the system, putting a shipping label on it and then you'll be in the same boat as the rest of us... waiting for Friday to come, lol

It will show up. Just give it a day or two (or maybe less). Even if they box it on Wednesday, it will be in your hands Friday. My MacBook Pro Retina was shipped out on a Wednesday and I had it the next day - shipping from China is insanely fast.

guys I hate to say this but if your tracking info hasn't shown up yet then you might be in the 2 week batch.

Just kidding :D They are starting to update right now (for me atleast) so i bet they show up tomorrow!

Was in-store pickup an option for anyone this time around?
I wanted to do it but site didn't let me.

ordered mine the same day pre orders went up. I live in Singapore (Asia). My iPhone ships on the 21st. :(

Just wanted to add my order to the list of one's that have been canceled by AT&T in the past day. Ordered at 12:10am on Friday. They said "we would be happy to ship you a new one over the phone." Such BS. The kicker was the explanation that they read off the screen for the reason for cancellation: Buyer Remorse You can't make this stuff up!

Funny thing is my wife's iphone is still being shipped even though I ordered hers a few minutes after mine. As for mine? Probably will have to wait til October now. They credited my account $!00 and I had to fight teeth and nails for that.

Lucky for me (or unlucky) I still have an original iPhone lying around. It takes some getting used to. I double click the home button constantly only to forget there is no multitasking anymore. All the apps I have been using need at least iOS 4, so I'm stuck with the bare minimum of the apps I like. Oh, and believe me, this thing does not have a retina display... more like a legally blind, 10 drinks past sober, punched in the eye a few times display.

Some serial number decoding insight I've learned over the last little while:

The last four characters are the same for everyone with a particular phone. It is characters 6-8 that are unique to your phone (well, not technically unique, but taken with all the rest of the characters, they are)

Basically, you can post up 12345...9012 but leave out 678 and no one will be able to identify your phone.

Characters in positions 1 and 2 are the factory is was made in (same for all Apple products made in that factory)

Character in position 3 - I have no idea, any guesses? Perhaps a checksum digit?

Characters in positions 4 and 5 make up the production week of your phone (same for everyone whose phone was made that week)

The earliest production week stated so far in this thread has been 32. That's the week of August 5-11 as shown:

32 - August 5-11
33 - August 12-18
34 - August 19-25
35 - August 26-Sept 1
36 - September 2-8
37 - September 9-15

Characters in positions 6, 7, and 8 show how many phones into the production week yours was (so naturally, knowing this along with the first five digits will pretty much give away your serial, if the person knows what kind of phone from positions 9/10/11/12 below)

Characters in positions 9, 10, 11 and 12 - these last digits are the Apple product model. Every iPhone, iPad, MacBook, Apple TV, or Thunderbolt display of the same configuration will have the exact same last 3 (or now 4) characters. This is why one of my iPhone 5s is F38W (64GB black for at&t or carriers in Canada) and the other is F38Y - all other people with a white 64GB phone on at&t will also have a phone that ends in F38Y. It could be made in a different factory (1/2), a different production week (4/5), obviously it'll be a different phone so (6/7/8) are different, but (9/10/11/12) will always be the same.

I can't seem to find my Serial Number...Here's what I'm looking at...Regardless, I should get it on the 21st correct?

Ouch. The reason they told you was literally "Buyer Remorse"? How the deuce does that work? What really went wrong?

Spent 3 hours this morning trying to figure out why they had "Buyer remorse" on there. AT&T said it was most likely a glitch in the system due to the overload of orders. I couldn't believe how they were telling me "this happens from time to time, but we can start a new order for you for your troubles." sooooooo understanding, aren't they?
