Apple.com preorder thread - iPhone 6/6 Plus

I seem to be stuck in China ?

Anybody else stuck on this since yesterday?

Yeah i think we are, did apple charged your card yet? My CC was charged with a pending charge, but i checked this morning and it's no longer there 🙁 , that's what worries me, im really hoping to get it on 9/19

I pay 40 or 45 a year for my choice premium just so I can have multiple options for my packages. IE 2 hour delivery window, leave at a neighbor, deliver to a store, or even same day will call pickup. So to answer your question maybe depending on apple's specific terms in the contract. I was able to already submit my mychoice same day will call request successfully.

MyChoice regular and premium both allow will call. Seems best thing to do, if someone wants will call, is to call their local UPS hub (my practice) with tracking, and ask IF this one can be (in fact) held for will call. Seems a very good option for those needing to keep moving 😀

And unfortunately we probably won't see any changes and updates until Thursday.
This year it took the fun out of tracking it from china from point to point but I'm glad it's already state side and fewer issues can get in the way... 🙂

don't fret about the missing pending charge. Its normal procedure. When apple submits the charge they have so many days to make the charge final before the funds are released back to the account. Since apple doesn't officially charge you until it ships 95% of the pre auths will go back. Apple does the pre auth to verify the funds are there and also it allows them to finalize the charge once ship and guarantee they get the funds regardless if your available credit is 0. so don't worry its normal credit and debit card practice.
 
I wasn't sure which size to get and I ended up ordering the 4.7 iPhone 6 in Space Gray. A few days away and I'm kind of feel I made the wrong call. I'm kind of disappointed with it and I haven't even gotten the phone yet. I gave my friends with the Note such grief for having a huge phone that I told myself I couldn't get a phone that big.

Sadly, I can't change it and still get it on Friday. I'd have to wait until October. I suffer from a First World Problem here and I'm fully aware of it but can't help say it.

Hopefully, it'll be the perfect size when I get it in my hand on Friday.

the flights don't always leave china right away. for instance if the package is on a commercial flight it could be waiting for the next flight. Those flights take an average of 14hours then they sit at customs waiting its turn. I do a lot of international shipping for my business and a lot of the time the package shows departing china but doesn't update for 2 sometimes 4 days after that showing inbound to customs. Don't fret if apple says the 19th itll be the 19th

I have a strange situation. I have a 6 Plus on order from the reservation email. Order number begins with a W, and the delivery date is 9/19. It still says "preparing to ship," and the pending charge on my credit card from a few days ago has vanished 😱. Will I even get it on Friday anymore?

not fretting (whatever that means) Just tracking and eventually getting down the flights. This is just all part of the fun.

AT&T 64 Silver 6 Plus.

The only reason I am even remotely concerned is that I had an order in with AT&T, then went through the reservation system on Apple.com to get a release ship date, then had to cancel with AT&T. Hopefully having the two orders on my line at once didn't screw something up. But Apple says it will get here Friday, so it's looking good so far.

I'm in the exact same boat. The pending charge is still there (but I think when they drop off is controlled by the cc company, not Apple). Unless I hear otherwise, I think it will come on Friday. And when I called on Saturday to change my shipping address, the woman from Apple said it would be delivered on the 19th. Fingers crossed.

Sounds like you'll be ok. AT&T is quick to reset upgrade eligibility after a cancellation. Best wishes!
 
I'm one of those people with a Oct 1-6 delivery date estimate. I'm curious if there's anybody with a delivery estimate of next week? Only dates I've seen are either 9/19 or Oct 1-6...
