Apple.com preorder thread - iPhone 6/6 Plus

Don't know if this has been mentioned, but my invoice from Apple was sent and shows this information near the bottom:

I have been charged, in preparing for shipment since Saturday, serial in Support Profile, but no tracking information.

Anyone else see this in their invoice?

Talk to the receptionist and find out what time FedEx/UPS usually arrive. Chances are they come in the afternoon during business hours, otherwise they would never get any packages the company orders.

So it should probably come around the same time as usual? I didn't know whether they would be massively late due to the mass number they'd be delivering that day.
 
I ordered both an iPhone 6 and an iPhone 6 Plus.

Both say preparing for shipment. delivery for 9/19.

Only the 6 shows up in my support profile and only the 6 can be tracked via UPS using reference phone number. However, the UPS is showing this.

Try plugging your tracking number into:

http://www.packagemapping.com

One of my orders shows the same thing as you, but when I plug it in here it says that it is in Mount Juliet, TN. Still only has a printed shipping label, but that is probably because it is already so close that it doesn't need to move in order to make it by Friday.

Meh, while there will be lots of iPhone shipments, I'm sure it doesn't compare to your average holiday periods, I would expect them to be roughly the same time. It's not like they don't know about all the iPhones being delivered.

What I would do though is ask the receptionist to call you when she leaves, that way you can either write a note on the door or desk, or just wait at her desk for them to arrive. I've done that before, brought my laptop to the reception desk and waiting for UPS lol.

What's interesting is when I plug my tracking number in there it says it's going to Arlington Texas - I live in Florida :confused:
 
Yes! Finally showed up in UPS under my phone number as a reference number for delivery on 9/19 by end of day. Apple still shows my package as preparing for shipment. I wish that I'd had the option to pay for expeditied shipping: in the past, they've delivered by 10 am with expedited shipping so I didn't have to hang out all day.

That's strange. Both of my orders show my city as where it is shipped to. Does to show the right place on your order page?
 
Has anyone ordered a 6+ for in store pickup on the 19th had any action in their status? I ordered two 6+ iphones one to ship on the 19th the other to pickup on the 19th. The one set to ship has a tracking and is in preparing to ship status; however, the pickup one is still in processing items. Anyone have any insight on the process the in store pickups go through?

Once I click Support I see

Orders from China

Anyone seeing any change in the orders being shipped from China?

Right now they only show departure time but that has been the same for the last two days.

most likely wont update until they hit a customs hub in the usa. Like isc chicago nyc or alaska somewhere
 
I'm a UPS My Choice subscriber, but before logging in at UPS.com, I was trying to track by reference using my phone#. I was trying to use my cell phone#...doh! The reference is your 10 digit (USA) home phone#!

As a UPS My Choice subscriber, I can see this Friday's delivery from Apple. My iPhone 6 is sitting at a UPS center just up the road in Harrisburg, PA. :)

I know that, but this doesn't normally take 2 days. I was just wondering if anyone with actual tacking numbers (from China) has seen this status change.
