Wow, so much impatience in this thread. They just announced the new iPhone last Tuesday and people are already worried about not having tracking #s yet. Just wait till it's Friday and it's 11 PM and UPS delivery guy is still driving to a ton of places before your home.

Same here. This is probably the biggest release for iPhones since the original (and I've always received every single one on launch day), but I somehow don't feel like it'd bother me if they delayed my phone. Or maybe I just have grown accustomed to Apple meeting their quoted dates (except the 2012 rMBP, they missed that miserably by over a month lol).
My AT&T 6+ isn't showing up on the support site or in UPS' system, so I called Apple and they said they put in a pending charge on the 13th... but it doesn't show up on my CC's website. Weird.
They said I am still on track for a 9/19 delivery though so I will try not to worry until Thursday if nothing updates.
EDIT - Had to call to verify the pending charge. My bank sucks.

Yeah! My iPhone 6+ 128GB finally showed up in my Support Profile, and I am able to pull a tracking# from the UPS website using my billing number as a reference #. Here are my details:

Last year Apple sent me the tracking number the day before launch day, which I already knew because of the track by reference thing. This year the track by reference thing is not working for me, but I am sure it will be here. I am just not sure why Apple sends the tracking# so late.

what do you mean anyone? everyone should have that or shipped if you ordered for 9/19 delivery that is.
TBH no huge reason, but I am 100% sure this will be my keeper smartphone for 2 years, so why not spread out the payments a bit more for some financial flexibility. Not too much concerned about my upgrade options and I'm content with my Mobile Share plan right now.
This is a damn expensive phone, it had better be worth keeping for 2 years!

Ignore me... I was just confusing myself. I totally get the having-it-for-two-years thing and spreading out those payments over 18 months (rather than buying up front, and paying an extra $25 for access on your plan).
I was thinking there was a 24-month plan but that defeats the purpose (maybe there is... too lazy to check).
FINALLY have a tracking number and a serial number, although no actual tracking information. This had to have updated within the last half hour or so, so those that don't have anything yet get ready!

NP. The options are 12 months and 18 months. I also kind of confused you, you do have 24 months to pay it off with the 18mo plan. However after 18 months you can trade it in for a new smartphone.
If you choose the 12 month option you can upgrade after 12 installments, or 1 year, so basically lines you up for a 6S next year as long as you're willing to extend your Next contract. I have no intent of going S (or buying any new smartphone next year for that matter).
This is the skinny:
Next 12
Divides the regular price of your smartphone into 20 low monthly installments. Trade in your qualified smartphone to upgrade after 12 installments.
Next 18
Divides the regular price of your smartphone into 24 low monthly installments. Trade in your qualified smartphone to upgrade after 18 installments.
if your iPhone is already sitting in a warehouse somewhere in the US, UPS just has to deliver the package by 9/19, and it's really up to them how to do that. If they ship via 2-3 day, you could get a tracking number today or tomorrow. If they decide that overnight delivery works, you might not get a tracking number until Thursday.

Scratch that... I figured it out. I have a serial number on my support profile but still no shipping. "Preparing for Shipment" = death!
