Apple.com preorder thread - iPhone 6/6 Plus

So after following a couple threads about phone status and tracking mine I've noticed something. A lot of people were saying they're phones were still not showing up in they're support profile or UPS tracking. But It seems like a lot of the 6 Plus's have been sitting stateside this whole time. Once people get their tracking info their phone is located somewhere in the US, mine are in Mount Juliet, TN. Plus Apple overnights the orders so it's normal if people don't see any info or movement until today or tomorrow.
 
Well, this is very interesting. Called both Apple and Sprint to figure out how I got a full subsidy on my phone after only 1 year on the contract. I have a AAA card discount and they think I'm basically on a "corporate" plan that gets phone upgrades more frequently than a normal account. I got the discount for my line, but for my wife's line on the family plan it's saying no upgrade pricing 'till June of next year, basically your usual 20 month Sprint thing. Perhaps I get one full subsidy per year on either phones. Anyone have any familiarity with this deal?

Apple/Sprint think everything looks normal/on track although the support profile and UPS are not showing anything yet, just still on Preparing for Shipment. My guess is that the phones are being hand-added into the system (or semi-automated) by the millions and while everyone's phone is actually enroute in giant containers, they're slowly adding the phones customer by customer to the profiles and the customer orders are slowly being associated with the giant shipping containers in which they're located.
 
To alleviate anyone's worry with credit cards and charges, this story should do it.

I have two orders on Apple. One for a Leather midnight blue 6 Plus case, and the other for the actual 6 Plus.

I had pending charges for the case, the phone and a separate $4 charge for the shipping of the case. (All as of yesterday)

I received the case yesterday and this is a summary of my credit card. Today I only have a posted charge for $4.28 (for the shipping plus tax). There is no pending or posted charge for the phone or case.....and yet I hold the case in my hand....

Long story short, don't worry! :D
 
Also, noticed my Sprint 5S's from last year never made it onto my service profile. Perhaps Sprint iPhones are funny, as my AT&T 5's are on there. No Sprint 6 Plus on there yet.

Questions guys.

I ordered my phone and my hubby's phone using my apple id. SOOOO, wouldn't both phones show up in my support profile until my hubs activates his and moves it to his own support profile?

Only one is showing up now. And I only have tracking for one. They both have delivery dates of 9/19, so I'm not worried, I just want them both to be there!!! They both say "Preparing for shipping" on my order page.

Anyone else only seeing PART of their order in the profile? Also, the pending charges have disappeared from my bank account. Normal?

FYI - We ordered a SG 6+ 64gb and a Silver 6+ 16gb
 
I ordered a 64Gb iPhone 6 in the UK on release day, but it was showing as dispatch in '7 to 10 business days' at the time I ordered. I therefore had no expectation of receiving it on release day.

A few minutes ago though I had notification that the balance had been taken on my Amex. My order status has just switched to 'preparing for dispatch'. Nothing yet on my support profile, but just wanted to share a ray of light with anyone else who thought they'd missed the launch day boat. We will see!
 
Hey for you guys that have chosen "hold for will call" via UPS My Choice, do you notice that it says delivery by 9/19, but available to be picked up by 9/25?

I did, I stayed up to order at launch which was a gong show and ended up ordering on the app at around 1am. Got my confirmation email saying the order was being processed but I never got an invoice. I'm in Zone 1 as well so I should get it Friday but I always start worrying when I don't see anything by Wednesday afternoon. Never been let down yet but last time didn't get it until 10pm which was unreal as I thought I wasn't getting it. Hopefully this year I get it it a 'bit' earlier :D

This is my first time ordering a pre order :D Last year I bought a used 4S. I'm just a wee bit excited lol

I think once it says shipped, a lot of ppl will have a little party lol.

Any Canadians have any luck checking on ups or fedex? I've used all the numbers I can find, phone/invoice, but nothing comes up :confused:

All that means is if you don't pick it up by 9/25 they will send it back to shipper(apple). I got the same thing it's fine don't worry you're getting the phone lol.
 
Between today and tomorrow that will change for most people. I think it means it's in the states. Mine is coming from China and I have been tracking it since Monday.
 
Mine is still preparing for shipment... But I found it in ups using track by reference.. Could you find yours that way..

My 6+ started in china then onto the usual.. alaska and departed alaska last night..
 
If you have the tracking number, download the UPS app on the iPhone. It will actually tell you where the label created for your iPhone actually originated, whereas UPS.com will not. Most likely its in TN or CA depending on your location.
 
Any time I have a UPS package delivered via 2nd Day or Next Day Air, it gets to the airport around 6:30am from Memphis, TN. Then it arrives at my local UPS center around 7:15am and then out the door on a truck at 7:45am. Pretty close timing if you ask me :D Then it's delivered to my house around 2:30pm.

Luckily, I'm having the UPS center hold it for me for pickup at 9am

Did you previously have the pending charge on your CC/DBT for the phone? I noticed since Friday, I had the pending charge for the phone then woke up this morning and noticed more money in my USAA bank account and saw the APPLESTORE pending charge was gone. I hope that doesn't mean anything negative.

Mine is like that. I ordered a 6+ and a 6 and only the 6 is showing in the profile.

I'm not worried at all though. I'm sure I'll get both on Friday.

Nashville TN is the main national UPS hub. Your phone is in an Apple-rented warehouse a couple minutes from there. You're good.
