Apple.com preorder thread - iPhone 6/6 Plus

I just ordered today and estimated shipping date is Oct 23-28th!!! I hope this date moves up
I was hoping those of us with pre-order shipping dates waaaay off in the distance would get moved up. But today I spoke with the Verizon reps in my local store and they're not anticipating having 6+ models in store until mid-November. That doesn't bode well for loosening up supply constraints. Although my estimated delivery date got bumped up from 10/28 to 10/24. That's the slimmest bit of good news imaginable, but it's still a straw at which I'm grasping.

Just knowing the location it is currently at overseas or in Alaska you can track the courier jets path to U.S. mainland.
Just to piggyback on this - if the phone has come from China to Anchorage, it will be headed to Louisville to clear customs before continuing to its final destination. It's a little odd when you live in Anchorage like myself, but that's how UPS handles those things. So you'd just need to find the UPS flights from ANC - Louisville.
I received my iPhone 6 on Friday. I cancelled my iPhone 6 Plus that was due around Oct. 12 this evening (80 minutes on hold).
The iPhone 6 is more than big enough for me. I don't think I will be tempted by the Plus now. I wouldn't mind having it around my office and at home, but I'm not about to add a line and pay monthly fees on an additional phone.
At least I cleared the queue for someone else's order at Apple.com (I realize one phone doesn't make an impact but still haha).

I was on AT&T pre-order as a Premier member. I canceled that yesterday and pre-ordered through Apple. My ship time is 3-4 weeks, delivers Oct 20-27. 128GB Silver 6 Plus.
I bet I could've had the AT&T phone Monday, but I'm just really fed up with AT&T. Plus I did a full upgrade instead of Next and would've lost my discount. So I'm playing the waiting game again. Just on a new thread.
I'm considering just going to a store through next week to try and pick one up. So that's why I was asking if canceling was immediate or not. Thanks for the help!

Yeah from what I underatand, the eligibility rolls pretty quick, but I underatand what you mean.
I'm invisioning the same thing. Order thru Apple, stumble upon one in an att store, and the cancelation not going thru fast enough to get the one at the store!

Speaking of store, I spoke to acouple stores. They don't get stock on Sunday's, and the shipment truck likely won't come till Monday evening at most stores

I order it on the 13th just after midnight and this is my estimated delivery as well. Intersting that nearly a week later this date hasn't changed.
A tale of two iPhones...
Ordered a 6/64 for my wife, and a 6+/128 for me from AT&T's website a few minutes after the website went live on pre-order day. Wife's phone was confirmed via email a few seconds later, while my confirmation came in later the next afternoon. She got a ship date of 9/19, and I received a date of mid-November. Needless to say I was a bit ticked off.
I was in the midst of my brooding when Apple (which I also tried to ping at 3am on pre-order day) sent me an email saying I had a reservation to order a phone, due to my experiencing technical difficulties. Ship time was 7-10 days! Needless to say, I called AT&T and canceled my November order in favor of the Apple order.
All last week, my ship date was estimated at 10/1-10/6, not bad, but I figured I'd try my luck in line on launch day, and cancel my order if I got into the store early enough. Waited in line from 330am to store opening at 800, only to find out all Plus's had sold out in 5 minutes.
So... imagine my surprise when I got home to find that my iPhone has shipped!! Expected delivery of my AT&T 128/6+ in space gray is estimated at Thursday 9/25! Not bad from an original ship date of November.
Still, I wish I could have just had a successful order on pre-launch day like my wife did!

I had the same estimated delivery date: 10/1-10/6 but then I got an email friday from apple saying that delivery is now 9/25. I logged in to UPS to track it and UPS says "Scheduled For Early Delivery On:
Monday, 09/22/2014, By End of Day"
Sounds too good to be true but let's hope it is . Hope we all get an early delivery.
Does anyone know if I can sign up for NEW Verizon service through the Apple store for 2 lines on the EDGE program??
I gave up with AT&T. I pre-ordered my iPhone 6+ 64g SG from my local corporate AT&T store on 9/12
...I was 5th in line. I was told delivery would be 10-31 - 11/11. I agreed. No status change all week. I called the store to cancel and I was told I had to do that in person. I arrive mid-day yesterday (Saturday) to find a long line to enter the store, the next person on line said they waited an hour. I left and called customer service, they were great and cancelled me, my subsidy cleared in less than 5 minutes and I received an email verifying the cancellation.
I checked the Apple website periodically as I worked yesterday and was able to secure and in store pickup in Manhattan, yes I was working late last night! I was able to order an iPhone 6+ 64g SG and an iPhone 6 64g Gold. I am leaving soon to pick them up!

Apple.com order question for AT&T customers:
Do they allow you to keep your grandfathered unlimited data line? I vague remember when I tried to pre-order using a 2 year contract it only offered limited data plans, so it kind of forces you to migrate and lose unlimited data, which is why I went with AT&T Premiere and I'm still waiting.
Also, if you order and do in-store pickup, they hold the phone for you, right, so it isn't like you can order, go pick it up and not get it?

Guys quick question, so I got the iPhone 6 and I truly love everything about it but I prefer the bigger 6+ after checking it out at the Apple Store. I'm gonna return my 6 and i just ordered the 6+ . Does Apple charge you before it ships? Cause I was gonna use the money from the refund towards the 6+ which can take about a week and half from me returning the 6 back to apple tomorrow. Just wanna make sure apple doesn't cancel the order since the funds aren't in my account yet. Thanks in advance!!!
Seems like some Oct 1-6 folks are now getting moved up. Hopefully a good sign for us Oct 2-13 folks.
What is puzzling me is my phone scanned yesterday around noon (12:45am Shanghai time) and it hasn't moved yet UPS is saying it will be early delivered tomorrow? how can that be?

That is very odd. You would think that yours would have been part of the Oct 1-6 shipment. I guess they truly are having issues with the production of the 6 Plus.
Who knows our estimated shipping dates may change (fingers crossed).
I'm REALLY hoping for this kind of update on my pre-order (currently scheduled for 10/24). Hey, if it can happen with AT&T it can happen on Verizon, right?
