I can't say I'm surprised. Apple needs to fill that plane probably to the brim to offset flying them overnight. It also probably didn't help to fall on a weekend. In any event a Tuesday delivery on the 23 is over a week before the original target of October 1st.
Mine 2, at least it is moving now and I cant wait for it to get here.

So got charged my credit card on Saturday...says it departed China with a UPS delivery date of Friday the 26th...original date from Apple said Oct 1 to 6th...so I am happy...this is for an 6 plus 64 gb in gold.
I see it. I cancelled my AT&T order, so I'm just waiting for Apple to send me my device.

I have a 10/14-10/21 delivery date, also... hoping it gets moved up like so many of the others delivering earlier!!!

So seems like it's finally moving .. Stuck for almost 2 days in Shanghai, China, it's now in Osaka, JP .. Now UPS site says that it will deliver on 9/23. What confuses me is Apple's email on 9/20 when it shipped originally that says delivery on 9/25 .. Now believe UPS or Apple?

My 6+ went from Zhengzhou to Incheon, Korea. The arrival scan was about 2 hrs ago so hoping it will find its way onto the next flight to Anchorage. Delivery still says 9/23 but I'm thinking more likely 9/24 at the earliest. That's still better than the original 10/1 - 10/6 delivery.
Yeah, mine's in the same state. Sounds like something weird happened with the normal flights out of Zhengzhou and they had to adjust routing for a bunch of our phones to Shanghai, Korea, and even Japan judging from the comments here. Next flight out of Incheon for us is UPS99 which was supposed to depart 30 minutes ago but doesn't seem to have left yet.

Your screen looks just like mine, still scheduled for delivery on Tuesday. Was expecting it to be up'd to Wednesday after that message about a delay from Shanghai. Here's hoping we get it tomorrow, either way, still early. Good luck!

Finally an update on UPS.
Looks like it's in Korea and should be heading to Alaska shortly.
Remember that from China/Korea there is about +15hrs difference.

My UPS just got updated with a departure scan as well, thanks
My ATT Oct 1st-6th 6+ 128GB also shows it has departed Osaka.
From my experience, anything that makes it into Louisville by 1-2am, gets delivered to me in southern NJ the same day, although I changed this iphone to pickup at the local UPS center.
It looks like there are 3 UPS flights in the air on the way to Anchorage, that originated in China, so I think we may have very good day tomorrow!
Can't even begin to fathom how you found out about this but it's quite darn impressive!
On a separate note, I'm not sure whether we should thank Apple for this sweet torment or not, but I highly doubt being able to receive the device without a glitch on release day/getting it easily by walking straight into the store would have made the device as HUGE a part in our lives.

I thought mine was Shanghai'd but I now see it's on it's way to Alaska. It would be nice to see the schedule change from Thursday to a sooner date.

wish you had been around for iPhone 5 launch, was the best! we listened to air traffic controllers, anything we could do! so much fun as all of our phones came from china vs. this year most were already in US so we missed watching them fly around!
the iPhone (+ apple) is part of history, that is for sure - told my kids to remember the launch of iPhone 6+ as one day when they are older they will be laughing about how lame it is!
they still can't understand that their grandparents had no TV + when the man landed on the moon why it is black + white! at school, they often do spelling tests on iPad's! they are young but part of me says why bother with spelling when we have spell check, but i guess they still need to read....then again could always just chat with siri!

UPS tracking has now updated to show delivery 9/23, instead of 9/22. Last night I changed it to pick up at local UPS office, because my guy comes typically 5:30pm-7pm, even though my packages are out of delivery between 5-7am. When I looked after changing it to pickup, my estimated delivery said "unknown", I thought that was because I was picking up, but now that it says "9/23", I think maybe UPS wasn't sure.
It's funny, because all along since I got the first UPS delivery estimate on Friday, it had said estimated delivery Tuesday 9/23, with the note about early delivery on 9/22.
I didn't see any UPS planes scheduled or show up on flightaware from Sat thru Sunday, so I thought Monday was unrealistic when the status never changed from being in Shanghai all weekend.
