Apple.com preorder thread - iPhone 6/6 Plus

So, my phone has a Thursday end of day estimate... but I did hold for will-call at UPS. Does this help my chances of going earlier on Thursday? Or does holding it for will-call mean it will be dropped off later after they have made all their deliveries for the day?

Reason being, I am leaving out of town on Thursday around 4pm... and would LOVE to be able to go pick my phone up before then.

It will be there Thurs morning when they open.
 
Can someone tell me how to turn off the e-mail notifications that I get for any thread update after I've posted in said thread?

EDIT: Nevermind, found it. Hidden in the options.

That would be awesome. Seems pretty quick though to get from Alaska to the Dallas UPS office by this Thursday. It departed Alaska at 2:15am (about 6 hours ago their time) so I guess it may not be TOO out of the question?...
 
Let's hope the second week of October people start seeing movement on their +'s so my third week delivery will get here.

My dad just retired from UPS in KY so he's somewhat familiar with Worldport operations. He said what they're doing is unusual, the norm would be for the shipments to leave Worldport early this morning via truck/plane, just depending on where they're going.

Damn. I ordered at 7:30 AM on Apple for 64 GB Silver on T-mobile. I'm still processing and NO charge to credit card. Still shows Delivers by 10-13 to 10-20.

I guess because the T-mobile one is unlocked it's going to take the longest.

Congrats on yours moving to preparing to ship.

I believe it will depend where it is being held. I had mine held at the UPS local "distribution" center where the tractor trailers come in and the delivery trucks depart from, so I eliminated the delivery truck time. My guy comes around dinnertime, I picked mine up first thing this morning.

The UPS stores, Staples, etc are serviced by regular delivery trucks, so instead of delivering to your house, it goes on a truck to the store, so it wouldn't be ready to pick up until it's delivered there. Wherever your local delivery truck dispatches from, is where I would try and pick it up from, if possible. You can still change the pickup location anytime before it's out for delivery.

Mine is also set to be delivered to Atlanta tomorrow (Thursday). I dunno why the guys in Louisville sat on their a** instead of getting these shipments out.

Had to post seeing someone from ATL has the same date as me and I've been following this thread closely. Its been stuck in China weekend and now it's been in Worldport for two days. I ordered my moms 6+ off ATT and hers was pushed all the way back to Halloween then bumped to Oct. 2 and what do you know she got hers delivered yesterday. While mines that literally shipped a whole weekend earlier still hasn't got to Atlanta yet!!! ###

I also ordered one from AT&T and its still preparing for shipment. It's scheduled for mid October...and I ordered within the first half hour of preorders starting. ughhh...so freaking annoying!

I don't think so. Mine is a T-mobile contract-free ordered from apple.com. I don't believe this warrants shipping delays.

Probably safe to say 3-5 business days if it ships from a China origin.

yeah i ordered on 9/12 @ 5:30am a tmob 128gb 6+ and has been delivered at 12:30pm CT in OKC today#

My silver iPhone 6 Plus, 128 GB is now in the 'Preparing for Shipment' phase. I ordered it around 6:30 am EDT on 9/12. Quoted delivery is 3 - 4 weeks. Latest date to receive phone is October 20.

Finally, looks like it is our waves turn. I just changed to "preparing for shipment" as well. The first change I have seen since ordering.

How long did it take everyone else to move from "Preparing to ship" to "shipped"?

[Edit - and my card has a pending charge for the full amount.]
