Finally, looks like it is our waves turn. I just changed to "preparing for shipment" as well. The first change I have seen since ordering.

How long did it take everyone else to move from "Preparing to ship" to "shipped"?

[Edit - and my card has a pending charge for the full amount.]

What carrier? Mine is 64 GB T-mobile Silver and still processing with shipped by 10/13-10/20.

Mine just cleared the custom, too! Louisville, KY! It's been sitting there since yesterday, so I was a little bit nervous there!

Ordered on 9/12/14, 6 Plus 128gb Silver AT&T, originally 7-10 days Oct.1-6 Delivery. Now showing delivery tomorrow!

-for the Oct 13 - Oct 20 People. who's statuses have changed from processing order to Preparing for shipment.

What does this mean?!?! (besides the obvious)
Does this mean shipment will occur earlier than advised (earlier than oct 13)? Or do they usually update order status to 'Preparing for shipment' 3 weeks beforehand?

I'm in the October 13-20th camp, and my status changed today from processing order to "Preparing for Shipment". Credit card also charged today.

6+ 64gb, silver ATT

Not sure what it means timing wise, but seems like we're getting closer.

CAN ANYONE PLEASE CHIME IN.

When your card was charged from Apple, how long did it take the item to ship?

They charged my card today also, but I was initially given an October 13-20th delivery date.

I believe it will depend where it is being held. I had mine held at the UPS local "distribution" center where the tractor trailers come in and the delivery trucks depart from, so I eliminated the delivery truck time. My guy comes around dinnertime, I picked mine up first thing this morning.

The UPS stores, Staples, etc are serviced by regular delivery trucks, so instead of delivering to your house, it goes on a truck to the store, so it wouldn't be ready to pick up until it's delivered there. Wherever your local delivery truck dispatches from, is where I would try and pick it up from, if possible. You can still change the pickup location anytime before it's out for delivery.

Thanks. It actually didn't even give me a choice as to what UPS location to pick it up at. The only option was one that says "UPS Customer Center" and I was given these instructions:

A GOVERNMENT ISSUED PHOTO ID IS REQUIRED WHEN SHIPPING OR PICKING UP A PACKAGE. PLEASE REFER TO INFONOTICE FOR SAME DAY WILL CALL PACKAGE PICKUP AND INSTRUCTIONS

Dunno, after receiving this 6+ today I'm not sure I will be buying an iPad. This may just be enough for me. :)

I was thinking this. I might be able instead to get a Note 10.1 2015 when that hits. I only considered the iPad because it would make the apps bigger.

Mine shipped within a few days.

Wait yours updated and your ship date is 10/13-10/20??? What?

It updated to "preparing to ship" from "processing". The date of expected delivery did not change.

I am hoping that will change once it actually ships in a few days or at least that I will get the phone before that date range.

Got good news this morning. They moved my delivery day up by 1 so it's supposed to be delivered Thursday to my local ups store. Hope so! Ordered mine on 9/13 from Apple.com

Our phones might be on the same route. Mine also got updated for Thursday by end of day... but since I'm picking it up from a "UPS Customer Center" I'm hoping it will be there earlier rather than later on Thursday.

Anyone ever pick theirs up from a "UPS Customer Center"? Does it get there in the morning or is it the last drop off for the delivery truck?
