Apple.com preorder thread - iPhone 6/6 Plus

Just ordered the 6 last night. Delivery date said Oct. 16-21st. It says Preparing to Ship, unable to cancel.

Having second thoughts since reading about the horror stories about it bending. Is it possible to return it at the Apple Store near me when I receive it, or do I have to call their support line and I have to ship it somewhere? I'm in Canada.

I will most likely order it later in a few months after the kinks are worked out. Also paid part of it with a gift card, don't know if that would be an issue when returning.
 
The phone has been shipped!
Ordered on the 12th of September and my delivery date was 13-20 October. On Tuesday it changed to 7-9 October and today I saw it has been actually shipped with a delivery date of 29th of September! Woohooo!

And to help other European customers I'm in Germany.

Put a sturdy case on it, I doubt it would bend.

WOW! That was a quick turnaround time for shipping.
 
I ordered a 6+, 64gb, silver, verizon, on the afternoon of the 12th. I'm also in the 13th-20th expected date.

I'm thinking about cancelling and trying my luck at the local stores. Within an hours drive there are stores that say they have the 128 and 16 varieties in stock. Be my luck I drive that hour and it's sold, hence...

lol.. Decisions, decisions...
 
WOW just had a terrible experience at my UPS facility (it's one of the UPS Customer Centers used for just will-call pick ups)

The line was relatively long and I'd say over half of the people in line were picking up their iPhones lol. One by one, they all got theirs. My turn... I show them my ID and tracking # and she goes to the back like she did with everyone else to grab my phone.

Literally 10 minutes pass... I'm wondering wtf is going on. She comes out and says she's still looking for it. 2 people looking now in their back storage area. Another 10 minutes pass. I see her talking to a supervisor. Uh oh.

Meanwhile, 3 more people pick up their phones as I wait. Adding insult to injury.

Well another 25 minutes pass and the supervisor takes my contact info down. Saying it is shown as "arrived" but they can't find it. Said he'd call me if they find it, and at this point I'm furious. 45 minutes out of my day waiting, when everyone else is getting their phones. I bitch them out a bit but I know there's nothing they can do... even if someone/driver stole it. So I kinda just get angry and tell them I better not have a nightmare on my hands recovering my money.

I drive home 30 minutes and as I'm pulling into my house, they call and say they found the phone. :D

So, I drive back 30 minutes and pick it up. Furious but happy at the same time I guess.

Total time wasted - 2+ hours

Good Lord... UPS can be incompetent as hell. They said it was just "mixed up with the boxes"... lol

I'm still trying to calm down
 
Ordered my Iphone 6+ Verizon 128gig Space gray on 2014-09-12 at 9:26am eastern time. Status on 2014-09-25 at 3:16pm eastern time is "Preparing for Shipment Available to ship: 3 - 4 weeks Delivers: Oct 13 - Oct 20 by Standard Shipping "

I guess I ordered my phone a little late from the apple store app. I put the order in on Sept. 19th around 8pm. I got a IPhone 6+ 128gb. My delivery date is Oct 20-27th.
Has anyone with this ship date seen a change yet?
 
Hi all. Mine was dispatched today (hurrah!) to the UK, but interestingly, it's coming from Shanghai and not ZhengZhou. Guess they have multiple factories or something, but that's what UPS's tracking tells me. Maybe for European orders, they're sent from somewhere else?

Anyway - good luck to everyone. My original estimated date was Oct 15 and overnight last night, it just dispatched. Keep the faith!

just FYI i called apple to change my ship to address to my work address...they were able to do that...the apple rep told me she has been seeing movement...I ordered a 6+ gold 64g, she mentioned that it was the MOST popular right now...NO WAY i can find it at a local apple store at the moment, i'm in SOCAL by the way....she did mention I will most likely receive before the 3-4 weeks as stated...I have a delivery date of 10/20-27...I ordered mine on 9/19 around noonish....oh she also mentioned that apple has requested a more expedited shipping...meaning we will get it sooner that the regular free shipping they usually provide...
 
Hopefully they amped up the production a bit. Mine still Says Processing Items Available to ship: 3 - 4 weeks Delivers: Oct 13 - Oct 20 by Standard Shipping. Ordered Gray 64g Plus at around 7:30 AM CDT Sept 12

It has been exactly 24 hours since, but no change in the status yet.

This is awesome news! I'm in SoCal too. I stalk the order page to see if the shipping is updated.

I wouldn't get too excited yet. I have a iPhone 6 Plus 128GB Space Gray (GSM)
that changed to "preparing to ship" over 24 hours ago and it still hasn't shipped. I was glad something changed after a week and a half but I seem to be stuck in the waiting game again.

I am still showing:
Available to ship: 3 - 4 weeks
Delivers: Oct 13 - Oct 20 by Standard Shipping

if this is so true, does that count for me because i placed my order for the same phone on 9/23, and my estimated dates are 10/22 to 10/29. i hoping sooner in October.

I had finally accepted the late delivery, until the order changed to "Preparing to Ship".... Now I am obsessively checking
