Apple.com preorder thread - iPhone 6/6 Plus

No movement and my card was charged yesterday. I still expect the phone to be shipped by about Monday or Tuesday. Hopefully we'll get a notification tomorrow saying we are shipped. I'm trying not to obsess...
I am also stuck in "preparing to ship" and have been for over 24 hours. Hopefully, I will get a shipped notice tomorrow. Definitely glad it is sooner than my original 10/13-10/20 delivery dates though.
Thanks for this ... gives me a bit of hope! I'm in the Bay Area and the Plus is pretty nonexistent up here too.
I ordered a 64GB AT&T Gold Plus on 9/20 around 2PM PST and received 10/21 - 10/28 delivery dates. I'm really kicking myself for not ordering sooner; my husband bought his (16GB AT&T SG Plus) around 3AM on 9/12 and he received his yesterday. A week sooner than he was scheduled to (he was in the 10/1 - 10/6 group). I'm hoping for at least a week sooner for us too.
I ordered a 64gb silver 6 plus on the 12th at approximately 9am est. My card was just charged today, but I've had a delivery estimate of Oct 13th-20th the entire time. So I guess my question is, what does it mean, if anything, that they finally charged my card today?

I pre ordered on the 12th with ATT and was getting close to shipment. However, somehow my order got cancelled last night. The reason for the cancellation was supposedly customer request. I didn't cancel but evidently there isn't anything I can do about it.
So I just placed an order with Apple. I just wanted to ask you who have been following this thread if the shipping has been earlier than the estimated dates or have they been pretty accurate? Mine says Oct. 23-31.
It was a 6 plus 64 gig SG

Ordered my 128 GB silver 6+ at 3:30 a.m. (PDST) on 9/12 direct from Apple. Yesterday about this time, my order changed to "preparing to ship" and the charge showed up in my credit card under "pending charges".
It hasn't posted as yet and I'm assuming that means the "pending charges" was to make sure the charge would be accepted by the credit card company. I'm thinking when it shows up as actually "charged" my 6+ will begin it's journey.
In another thread, I asked if the tracking was strictly in the US or from China. Answer: from China. The poster showed his tracking history and it was a six day process - two days of which were the launch weekend, so it may be shorter now.

Had Ordered a 64gb plus, had a delivery date of 10/13-10/21. My brother got his 6 plus in and I dont like the size. Cancelled my order , ordered a 6 64gb and and going to pick it up in store tomorrow.
Go to ups and put in the 10 digit phone number associated with the order in the reference number spot. Some arent being shipped by ups though.
Just an update for you guys.
I had a delivery date of 9/19 on launch day with no shipping info. On 9/20 the status updated and I received a delivery date of 9/29-10/2. After following the tracking all week and watching delivery date change from 9/26 to 9/25 back to 9/26, and finally back to 9/25, I received my beautiful iPhone 6 Plus today. So, I'd say a good estimate is 3 business days after your card is charged...... that is to say, actually charged. Not pending.

Update: UPS label was created and phone shipped today! Card charged yesterday and Apple still says preparing for shipment with a delivery date of 10/13-10/20. I Hopefully should have my new toy by Monday or Tuesday
If Apple is showing preparing for shipment how do you know your tracking info? Did you use the reference on UPS.com?
I got "Preparing to Ship" on Saturday and received it on Thursday. You're looking at 4-5 business days.

That delivery date, prior to "Preparing to Ship" it's just a shot in the dark by Apple. It's a very loose range and it seems almost always farther out than when you'll actually received it. If you have "Preparing to Ship" status, UPS will update soon and you'll have a date that is much closer to reality. I'd say definitely by the end of next week. My guess would be Tuesday or Wednesday.
Use your 10 digit mobile # in the "Track By Reference" field and see if it populates results. It didnt work for me and the Mrs until this evening
Got the preparing to ship yesterday. 24 hours later (today), I finally got the tracking... As of now, I have 2 separate packages coming my way.

Wish I could say the same! Except my order went from "processing" to "preparing to ship" this morning so based on your experience I hopefully will be waking up to a tracking number!

This is what I don't get. I ordered mine @ 6:30 am pacific time (9:30 am eastern). 6 Plus - Space Gray - 64 GB - tmobile and it's still processing. The only difference is the color, but I ordered it an hour earlier. 100,000 orders could have been processed between 6:30 and 7:40.... I would love to know how apple figures out the order for shipment. This is like the 4th post I've seen where someone ordered a similar or exact same model after me and shipped before me.
5 MINS LATER: never mind it literally just changed to preparing for shipment. Relieved!
