Ready for UPS

I want to punch a puppy...

But I won't, because it would be wrong. And I love puppies! With their cute little faces and licky little tongues...OK, I'd like to somehow make UPS go out of business, but this is far from the first time I have wished Santa In The Big Brown Truck ill. In 1993 I was waiting for a modem/memory card to show up and I ordered it next day. It arrived three months later, completely waterlogged. I drew a cartoon showing a UPS truck in the middle of the desert with turtles strapped to the axles instead of wheels with the caption "UPS - When it absolutely, positively doesn't have to get to you any time before you die." I'm no fan of Fedex, either. Seems the only way things come on time is if they ship good ol' Priority Mail.

After languishing for days on "Preparing For Shipment", I was buzzed Monday morning when I got the Shipped notification. I have been obsessively checking the status ever since. Made a quick trip to Shanghai and...it's been Shanghaied. Had a delivery date of this Friday, figured that would be perfect since it would give me the weekend to get everything transferred over from my Samsung Galaxy S4 that I am dumping mid-contract to get this phone. Was there Monday...Tuesday...and today with no sign that it will ever leave the government prison they must have it locked up in. Delivery date slipped to Monday. Wouldn't be surprised to see it slip even further before it shows up. IF it shows up. There's a chance that they might be torturing poor Sixy (I call my new iPhone "Sixy") for information. How long can Siri hold out before she spills the beans?

Yeah, I know, first world problems...but Apple has had my money since Monday and I have nothing to show for it but a rumor of my phone's existence trapped behind the Silk Curtain. If only I could send a team of mercenaries to bust it out of there...but I've already blown my reward money on buying this thing off-contract. I have to hope for the mercy of the prison system in Shanghai to allow poor Sixy to be repatriated back to the good ol' USA...not that she's ever been there, because her inventors prefer to have her and her brethren constructed in countries with lax labor and environmental regulations so that they can take a 70% profit off the top of their devices to sooth the nervous souls of the ever-powerful investors while the people who built her are stymied from their suicide attempts by the nets installed below the roofline of their priso...uh...factory. At least I won't shop at WalMart. And at least my phone should be here in time for my colonoscopy on Columbus Day. Won't that be a treat!

What do you know, the phone is in Louisville now. Destination is western Canada. Expected delivery has just changed from Oct. 2nd to Oct.3rd. That's if UPS doesn't send it all the way back to ZZ again! LMAO!!,

Arrived in Korea at 7:05AM EDT 10/1 and departed Louisville at 4:20PM EDT 10/1? This cannot be accurate! It couldn't have made it from Incheon to Louisville in 9 hours, could it? This gives me hope - UPS tracking is lying!

Preparing for Shipment

A little bit crude, but... Hahaha, OK, what the hell: You made me laugh with the image of all those officials torturing pour Sixy. Best post I have read so far!

I'm happy too but I do feel horrible about the ones that didn't make the plane. I seemed to be a day behind what was the majority on here, I was expecting to see that pop up tomorrow.

Read the thread.

Today's forecast is for a haze of shipping notice uncertainty. With a low pressure front holding things in place for a few days, the clouds will not likely part for 2-3 days, at which point a sunny sky will open with a firm delivery date 4 days hence.

After basking in the sun for a day, you will realize you have a terrible sunburn in the shape of Henan Province, a shape that will not fade for 3, perhaps 4 days, in spite of repeated signs that it is dissipating.

Expect intense precipitation for 3-5 days after that, bouncing between a wintry mix of Anchorage sleet, Incheon hail, and if you are lucky, only a sprinkling of Shanghai frogs. During this time, any firm baseball games will be postponed due to weather.

When the weather will truly clear is anyone's guess, but there's nothing indicating truly blue skies for at least 10 days.

Hilarious!

How are you guys finding the flight information. I know my phone just left KY, but I don't know whether it's by air or freight.

Finally in Alaska, there are a couple of flights to Louisville. My delivery date changed back to tomorrow. Anybody has the same? Good luck to y'all

Just an update.
One of my phones has a delivery date of 10/2 and has a departure scan from Louisville at 3:18.
I live in Pittsburgh but do not see any flights from Louisville to Pit - are those trucked or flown into Pit?

My other phone is part of the missing phone pallet and did not make it on the plane and has been rescheduled for 10/6.

I find it very frustrating that according to ups that phone in particular has made it all over the world, yet hasnt went anywhere and Im of the opinion that if it didnt make it on the plane then it I cant say for certain that the phone exists or can be accounted for.

I reiterate the fact I will never EVER pre-order another apple device again.
