Keep harassing UPS and Apple. I'm sure it will get your phone to you faster. Because you guys are more special than the other thousands of phones on the pallet.

Hundreds of thousands not to mention the other thousands of packages that are not phones. It's a phone people, it's not your apocalypse survival gear. It's fun to track and have something to do while you wait, but to call and harass the employees who know just as much as you do as to where your phone is. They have millions of packages and the tracking information you have, is what they see as well.

When you pre-ordered, it probably said how long you should expect it to take, yeah?

It said it would ship 7-10 days from the day I ordered it. And I was fine with that as it put it shipping around launch weekend.

In previous years - if you called and someone had say a 5s, by the time you got to the store they were gone. Now, I can could wait until after work, eat some dinner - play with the dog, then go and the phone is still there.

So based off the trends from previous years, "pre-ordering" seemed like the best most logical choice for obtaining a device.

I still dont see why it isnt ok for people to call and question the status of their order. Especially in most of these cases, a phone was tracked all over the world then right before expected delivery - the phone did not go anywhere and never made the plane..... Would it not be acceptable to wonder exactly what is going on knowing that information?

Hell Im not even any of the people calling or "harassing" anyone.

Just think if they want to call who the hell are you all to complain about them...

I haven't called Apple or UPS. This thread is for people to talk about their pre-order experience, whatever that may be, good or bad. If that bothers you, don't join in. No need to be rude.

My iPhone's delivery date kept getting pushed back more and more until it hit 10/6. Today it made it to Anchorage, AK. My delivery date changed to 10/1 which I'm sure won't happen. Hopefully, if it departs there soon, I can still get my phone by the end of this week!

Just got a tracking update from UPS. 3:03PM departure out of ANC. Good to see it on the move again.:)

What a martyr. Maybe having something you spent $400 on appear to get misplaced by a shipping company isn't a big deal for you, but for the rest of us it is. Take your self-righteous judgment elsewhere.

The UPS Support website states: "If your shipment is expected to be in transit for more than a day between tracking scans, we will display the day and date of the Next Expected Tracking Event in the Shipment Progress area."

After two days of no movement and no indication of the next expected tracking event, am I allowed to be worried?

I think my scans were off or something. I had an arrival into Incheon at 8:30 PM on 10/1. My phone did not make the flight out of Incheon at 12:24 AM. I think that is where the exception occurred. But, I did have an arrival and departure from Hong Kong in between my two Incheon scans. Apparently, my phone made it out of Hong Kong to Anchorage, but the tracking wasn't reflecting it correctly, I guess. Now, it seems to be en route.

I'm really hoping in right there with ya! Grrrr

For those whose phone was left behind in Korea, was it a Space Grey 6+ 128gb that you ordered?

After bouncing around Asia for 5 days, my phone finally departed Anchorage at 2:41 today. I think the 10/2 delivery is going to stick!

this pre-order is a ridiculous clusterf*ck. i just assume they didn't lose a thousand phones, and that theres probably some sort of plan/reason for the delay and it never crossed my mind to perceive it as having been 'misplaced'. And it turns out that was a correct assumption. But you know what. if it makes you feel better to worry about it and call, by all means. Sorry I came off as offensive to some people. at least we have movement now. hopefully they still meet that projected delivery of tomorrow (at least mine still says tomorrow)
