Yeah, I called Apple and was told they were on top of the situation. The excuse I was given was that a whole shipment went the wrong direction and missed the last flight to Alaska. I asked for a good faith discount or freebie to make up for the issue and was given an attitude and denied.

this pre-order is a ridiculous clusterf*ck. i just assume they didn't lose a thousand phones, and that theres probably some sort of plan/reason for the delay and it never crossed my mind to perceive it as having been 'misplaced'. And it turns out that was a correct assumption. But you know what. if it makes you feel better to worry about it and call, by all means. Sorry I came off as offensive to some people. at least we have movement now. hopefully they still meet that projected delivery of tomorrow (at least mine still says tomorrow)

I've had several things lost by UPS in the past, perhaps that's the reason for my cynicism. In fact, they lost my dog food last week. About 6 years ago, they misplaced my mac pro for three weeks. Turns out it was left on a truck that they put out-of-service and stored in a lot. Maybe I'm unlucky, but it happens.

THANK YOU! Some peoples reactions on here, calling UPS, calling Apple and freaking out is just unbelievable.

No it's bullSh@t. Every year from Nov 27 until December 24 they deliver about 3x the number of packages and they are not all little iphone boxes. This should be a walk in the park for them. I have ordered hundreds of items with UPS and never had issues with tracking. I will learn from this mistake and never pre order again saving myself from this mess!!!!

Don't mean to dash your hopes, but I'd expect it on Friday. Mine is 24 hours ahead of yours and sat in KY until this afternoon. They gave me a new delivery date of today and it slipped to tomorrow when the import scan was done.

My feelings for FedEx are the same. FedEx has lost numerous items of mine. Including a paycheck. Oh, then there were the two times I was accused of not declaring the proper weight of a package and causing a shipping delay. Stuff happens I guess.

Thanks, I'm keeping the hope alive... I've seen planes leapfrog each other all over this thread. For example, people who got to AK much later than me left much earlier. I've also seen one person whose phone spent like 2-3 hours in Louisville before moving on to Florida.

Thats reasonable. I slept on the floor in my new apartment for months because FedEx lost my new bed. So I get it. I guess I just have more faith in this situation than you do

That's upsetting. I've read stories about people simply inquiring about their order status before when it was still processing. These people were given free 1-day shipping and free leather cases.

They send our phones the wrong direction and they won't offer us any type of discount? That's ******.

And what other direction is there to send them to?? How many shipments of iPhones have they been sending out the past couple weeks? Out of the blue they decide to send one shipment the wrong way? WTF is going on??

My iPhone's delivery date kept getting pushed back more and more until it hit 10/6. Today it made it to Anchorage, AK. My delivery date changed to 10/1 which I'm sure won't happen. Hopefully, if it departs there soon, I can still get my phone by the end of this week!

Mine finally left Alaska as well. They must have unloaded a number of pallets in Alaska before going to Louisville on the 29th. Strange
