From staring at flightaware for too many days, the stylized fact about what's going on is: planes leave Asia for Anchorage once per day around the same time. The same planes leave Anchorage for KY, again once per day, again around the same time. Flightaware's iPhone tracker includes the second leg of UPS63, but not the first. My phone took the same route.
