Apple.com preorder thread - iPhone 6/6 Plus

I ordered 2 T-Mobile phones (6 & 6 Plus) and I've been checking UPS for a tracking number but nothing yet.
It just came to me though that I probably won't find it that way since the phones are contract free with no number assigned.
Has anybody who ordered a T-Mobile version been able to find their tracking on UPS?

No I signed up for alerts on ups and FedEx so I'll receive an email anytime someone ships to my mailing address.
I have a serial number on my Apple Support Profile, but I can't track it yet. Nothing on either FedEx or UPS. Tracking by reference number/phone number.
Did you order a case or other accessories? My case order fooled me.Interesting! Maybe there is hope
Apple order 6p silver plus ordered about 12:30 PT with apple app. 10/1-6. Hoping for faster but it is just a phone.
Ordered 2 phones .... Same here preparing for shipment ... One finally showed up in my support page.
lol you people are nuts. 99% of the phones that are scheduled to be delivered on Friday will be delivered on Friday. what is the point of checking statuses every five minutes of your order? Got a tracking number? Cool great awesome more than likely you still won't receive your phone until Friday lol. geez. I'm a huge techie but i'm not letting this consume me. Mine is scheduled to be delivered on Friday.
It is referenced by the number you used with the order not the number the phone would use per say.

yesterday my iPhone order was on preparing for shipment stage....and now its back to processing.
i ordered an iphone 6 64GB space grey T-mobile (full price) and its says delivers by 9/19
how can it go from preparing to ship to processing.
if someone had this before please explain

Some people aren't as patient as you are. I know that I'll get it on Friday and I'm not nervous at all. I'm just a very impatient person at times.

Use the phone number on the order to check through UPS or FedEx and not the order #? I've been using both, so it's good to have to use only one.

Ya I found mine using the number in my receipt from apple. Also you might need to set up UPS my choice.
I do have that set up, but is don't get things delivered by them too often. For sure, I'll get a text when the status changes? And should I be searching by billing phone number or shipping number? For some reason they are different.
I placed two orders, one 64 GB grey 6 (mine) and one gold 64 GB 6 (wife's). Mine first, hers immediately after at about 6 pm PST on Friday, a good 18 hours after preorders opened. Both say arrival on 9/19. Weird thing is, hers is preparing to ship and mine is still processing. Card has been charged for both. I'm sure it will all work out.
