Preparing for Shipment

16gb Gold iPhone 6 on Verizon

Mine said preparing for shipment about 2 hours ago. Now back to preparing for dispatch as it had been for a couple of days. No idea what it means if anything!

So my order went from 'Preparing for Shipment' BACK to 'Processing Items' sometime late Sunday.

Any idea what the heck could be going on? It still says 09/19 delivery.

Delivery date still remains at 9/19.

I ordered @ Apple, got UPS.

I always get apple through ups. And I just loaded the ups app and had a tracking number for Friday.

Delivery Status Touch ($4.99, sorry). See the screenshots. I got a notification when an iPhone went from Processing to Preparing for Shipment.

Note that there is a free Mac OS X version (a widget). It supposedly works with the OS X notification center or growl.

I was able to reserve an iphone 6+ 64gb silver at 4:22 AM Central (in Fort Worth, TX). It was the situation where they sent the email the next day to complete the buying process. My 6+ and it's serial number are showing up in my support list and status is "preparing for shipment". I'm so excited I can hardly stand myself. No tracking number as of yet. I was using the iPad app for the order.

Using UPS My Choice I can see that a tracking number has been generated and the delivery is set for Friday! It shows it's coming from TN. It also shows that it is coming by Next Day Air Saver.

So after trying two different phone numbers for UPS tracking I finally tried the land line at my house. Don't know how that got on fine, but it worked and the label was created on 9/13. Just keep trying every phone number you can think of. Also I used the link for the Apple support profile and got my serial number. Don't know what I can do with that, but cool I guess.

Got tracking number on one of my orders through UPS My Choice it's says its coming thru UPS Worldwide Express Saver. Delivery by end of the day, if I remember correctly for my pre order of the 5 it said delivery by 10:00 AM.

call your credit card company they put block on it , happened to me in the past,
they said to me that they thought it was fraud

Mine is coming ups the reference number is your billing phone number via Apple or order number if you try order number drop last 2 digits off the end

Well only update I have this morning is my support profile now shows my phone. I have checked ups/fedex and still nothing but I'm sure it will update soon. Come on Friday!

Update: both my apple.com orders have shipped with 2 separate tracking numbers.

people ordered on Late Saturday were able to get the phone delivered for 19th!

mine is 1-6 Oct, My CC is not even charged yet

Do you think I need to wait until next week to get charged and see "Preparing for Shipment"?

Great thanks! Nothing on UPS but FedEx says that they are "We unable to retrieve your tracking results at this time. Please try again later". I guess that is better than a flat out no haha. NO rush from my end, but is fun to watch the journey to it's new home.

Weird... I have a 7-10 Business day shipping.. Expecting delivery between oct 1- oct 6th. Just got a processing items email from Apple! Chance that i may get the phone on 9/19???

Update*.. It already said process items before.. My mistake.. My question is why would apple send me an email about it?

Did you use the cell number associated with the order and put it in Track By Reference? Thanks!
