I think it has to do with the swipe up interface. If Apple left it there, and you swiped up(as you swipe up the app shrinks), how does the phone know what your doing? It might accidentally kill the app.Am I the only one slightly ticked off with the way apps are closed on the X? Feels like a completely unnecessary step to press and hold the app instead of just swiping up.
I think they mean swipe up on each app in the app switcher to quickly close apps instead of hold them again and have to reach each red "close" circle. I agree 100%.
Control Center placement is such a unanimous complaint that I’m positive Apple will change it soon. As for the CPAP mask, you get two FID scans during setup. Try putting on the mask for the second scan and see if FID learns that scenario faster.I have a few flaws (Notification Center from the top being one of them) that have made me consider returning iPhone X. It's a great device, but after using it for a week it doesn't quite feel natural. The thing that kills me the most is FaceID, when it works, it works well. That being said, I wear a CPAP mask so I can't just wake up & unlock my phone with my finger & Touch ID... I have to be somewhat conscious to enter my passcode.
Don't get me started on the cold weather thing either..... happened to me the last two days.
Much like the initial LTE bugs with Series 3, this might be a return until it's the premium device it should be.
The center screen pull down requires enough extended contact with the screen to distinguish against false positives. Double tapping the center of the screen risks launching the neighboring app on the first tap.double tap the center of the screen is my vote. Center screen pull down already means "search" anyway, so why not put another function there. Works for lefties and righties.
Why not swipe "up" action? While search uses "down" action in the middle of the screen, there's no "up" action in the middle of the screen.
Here at Apple, we will let you know what obvious is.Wasn't this obvious before?
Yeah, nah. iPhone user since day one. Within a week I loathe my devices that still has a button.I know some people who won't get an X because they are scared to live without a home button. As easy as the swipe is, it just isn't instinctive to a long time iPhone user.

I was referring to the second sentence mainly.Pretty sure I said some people who havent yet bought an X for that reason - which doesnt apply to you. Nor am I saying it should have a home button.
What a great response. Never seen Apple comment on what they have and haven’t prototyped to random customers before!I got a response! (attached)
