So believe me or not... but after speaking to a senior official at apple today he told me that in the next week or so there would be a page on apples website that asks you to enter your serial number in for your iPhone 4 and some sort of compensation would be given for those that have had such trouble with their iPhone 4. I have not seen another thread about this and I am tired of people saying this is all made up, I wouldn't waste the time to make this post. So some sort of fix and compensation seems to be on the way!

I look forward to seeing if this comes to fruition. I'm not saying your lying or telling the truth or whichever. I'm just saying it'd be quite the move by them after their initial statement about the matter.

I choose not to believe, and thanks for giving me that option.
I love it when people tell me: "You won't believe this...."
I respond, "Then why tell me?"
;)

The "$170 gift card" thread is resurrected! Do I get a free bumper with that?

Actually, this would be a good thing, as it would indicate Apple acknowledging a serious problem with iPhone 4. I would use this news to immediately return my phone and wait for the fixed iPhone 4.5. For I don't want cash, I want an iPhone that works properly. Not that I ever expect this to actually happen.

I'd prefer they fix the phone rather than give me a gift certificate or free bumper or some BS like that.

There are two possibilities:

1. The person you talked to is not a senior official at Apple.
2. The person you talked to will stop being a senior official at Apple about tomorrow.

Hmmm... This is interesting. I have my doubts, but I have no reason to call you a liar. I hope it's true.

Before we go let me say:
-there is a re-callable problem
-i'm still looking forward to getting mine
-i have a case already for when it arrives
being able to grasp opposite concepts at the same time is the sign of a healthy mind
except, perhaps, in my case

edit: apple needs to hire philosophers, along with antenna experts

I persoanlly went to Apple HQ today and spoke with a Senior Apple executive and they told me that next week, Apple will be refunding people's purchases and still let them keep the phone.

:D This whole issue would be worth the hastle if this were true, which I HIGHLY doubt.

You forgot the Confirmed!

I can confirm that you confirmed that you have not confirmed that the confirmation of this thread is not yet confirmed, however, the confirmation of the confirmed event is neither confirmed or non-confirmed.

I really don't know if I should be concerned or relieved. I'm on UK Orange (having jumped the O2 ship) and my bars don't drop below five whilst at the flat or when walking around the city. Even after attempting to recreate the left hand hold issue nothing negative happens. I type this very message, phone in my left hand and five bars strong. I fear this could very well be a false sense of security!
