And yet Apple is one of the most successful tech companies in the world developing products its 1+ Billion customers love to purchase, including roughly 600,000 iPhones per day, every day of the year. Year after year after year.
Probably could be more with a competent leader

Is Timmy going to fire himself like he did with Scott Forstall?
Actually, right now it is probably the worst time to fire him given the whole mess that started a few weeks ago. At least until Apple can sort themselves out before considering firing him.

Stakeholders may disagree tho.

When Apple Maps was released it was so bad that it was making people get lost. Cook demanded Scott Forstall to publicly apologize which he didn’t agree to do because he had told Cook the app wasn’t ready. So instead Cook fired him.
Ok so Tim forced the release of Apple Maps despite the app being not ready? That’s a whole new level of wrong. Guess lesson not learned huh.

Apple, if you disagree that “Apple intelligence” (-_-) is not ready according to NAD, then spit out your ready products now and no one will complain on your incomplete products and empty promises.

Or… Buy this phone so we can continue to tinker and deliver apple intelligence to you later, layaway.

Apple's outstanding sales results and 1+ Billion customer base are testament to the competency of its CEO and is why Apple is one of the most successful tech companies in the world.
No company is immune to failure. When iPhone first came out it was Blackberry and Nokia with outstanding sales. Where are they now? I like Apple too, otherwise I'd not have exclusively only their computing devices at home. However, it's worrying to see their recent behaviour and the direction they seem to be heading in.

Even if 'Available now' is removed, Apple intelligence is nowhere ready and has a lot of work to be done on it. Hopefully it improves fast.

Again should be better.
Apple Intelligence is a huge black eye for Apple. Tim cook is an incompetent ****ing weak bum that should be on his knees apologizing.
Steve Jobs would slap the fire out his mouf for ruining the Apple name like that

People have predicting Apple's demise for the last 20 years. Apparently that's something that entertains people.

I wouldn't be generalising if I were you. I am not predicting Apple's demise, nor majority of people on this forum. What people seem to be displaying is concern with the brand they have all invested heavily in. I personally don't want Apple to fail. I love their products, albeit lately they have been only delivering good products for a Mac (in my humble opinion). iPad has excellent hardware, but the software is still crippled. iPhone hasn't had a major feature in years, it's been barely catching up with competition on many fronts and is selling thanks to its "street credit" and security Apple is usually praised for. Vision Pro was never a product for mass consumption, or at least hasn't proven to be yet. With Tim it feels like he's figured out how to bleed people dry for cash, and he is good at it, but while he is sleeping through this period, others are working on delivering actual useful stuff and Apple Intelligence is the perfect example of the result of Tim's sleeping beauty behaviour. There is only so long Tim can continue to ride this wave before people start looking elsewhere. I personally see more and more people in my entourage who are beginning to ask about Android, others have already made a switch. It's not a good look for Apple, especially when it comes to their main cash cow (the iPhone).

Except that with experience Steve understood product and market much better, you have listed items from his earlier days. Tim has been around for the past 25+ years. He should know better. Plus, the resources Apple has in cash alone today were never available to Steve. Their R&D should be stamping genius stuff out with the resources they have.

Tim Cook became CEO in 2011, 14 years ago.

I get it, you believe Apple is doomed. Their 1+ Billion active and repeat customers, along with Apple manufacturing and selling 600,000+ iPhone per day every day of the year (on the average), say otherwise.

As an aside, Apple spent $32 Billion on R&D over the last twelve months. Expecting them to "stamp out genius stuff" is not realistic.

Where did I say I believed Apple was doomed? Read my post again. It’s pointless to discuss this with you, you are blindly defending a company without any critical thinking.

OK... apparently relying on verifiable facts with respect to Apple is at odds with your concept of critical thinking.

TBF it is available now, just Siri is still retarded and it’s pain in the ass saying “hey siri, ask ChatGPT…”

Why are we assuming that is accurate at all? Because from everything I remember, it's not. None of the memoirs or retrospectives mention Forstall telling Cook it wasn't ready - kinda feel like he would have mentioned that in defending himself.

Maps was part of the iOS 6 roadmap approved by Steve Jobs. The reason Maps was on it was because the license deal was due to expire in 2013, and Google wouldn't provide turn by turn directions to Apple without Apple giving up more user data. Since Android already had turn by turn directions built in, Apple was at a competitive disadvantage by not having a default Maps app with that feature.

I was ion Hong Kong, Taiwan and Tokyo and Dubai last year a few days before the iPhone 16 launch. The streets, malls and stores were plastered with iPhone 16 Apple Intelligence ads.
I mean it was like too much. You couldn't walk to a store and not see an ad for an iPhone 16...
I wanted to buy a 16 Pro Max but they were Not available. Not because they were sold out but somehow the PRO model was not available for sale unless you bought it with a cellular contract. All other models were available to purchase at Apple Stores and third party retailers.
I had to wait a couple of weeks to buy one because literally nobody had them. All 16 models were sold out...
The big deal was the AI which didn't even come with the phone... Also whatever crappy AI was available, it was and still is only in US English... Why lie so blatantly...
7 months later and still no AI...
No wonder Samsung and Huawei and others are taking over.
Apple has been releasing the "same" iPhone for years. just a bump in camera Megapixels but no real innovation.
No folding phones, no AI, no full screen glass... Same ugly bump in the back...
I can't believe I am going to buy the new 17 Pro Max no matter what because I am already used to it but I am truly disappointed...

Cook has to be fired along with the whole Siri AI team... :p
