Apple will sell in record numbers as always. As long as it has the Apple logo, nothing else matters. Nothing.

That's not true. It's not like every Apple product ever made has been a runaway success.

The 4S just happens to be a great phone. Some people here tend to place too much importance on the physical look of a device. It seems 4 million people understood right off the bat that it doesn't matter what it looks like.

I kind of think the "S" upgrade is more than the design upgrade, to me, the speed increase will always keep your phone from being outdated longer. The iphone 3g to 3gs seems to be a minor update, but the experience in using the two phones are night and day, as you can still enjoy iOS 5 well with 3gs, but iphone 3g is almost unusable since iOS4.

?

Huh i know this a apple rumors website but face the fact ANDROID is destroying apple not everyone wants an iphone 4 million sold yeah whoopie android is taking over for now im on the train and i look at what people pull out there is more android phones out there than iphones Ice Cream Sandwich is on its way out which will unify all Android devices then we will see Ios or Android.

To keep things in perspective - Samsung did sell more smart phones than Apple in this quarter.

Let's first remove the BOGO and then see how many were actually sold. What is with you on this "let's spin Android" nonsense.

Well if Apple had released the iPhone 5 instead of the iPhone 4S the sales would be higher. But 4 million iPhones 4S in three days is impressive since the phone has incremental upgrades and has Siri. Just wait for summer for the iPhone 5. We will all be happy and me too because i will get my first iPhone NEXT year.

You won't see the next iPhone unttil 12 months, next October. Apple is now on a fall release for the iPhone.

Apple blames rumors... I blame lack of redesign.

I agree, along with a very weak iOS 5 feature set. I really can't tell much of a difference from iOS4 and this is supposed to be a major upgrade.

I love my iPad, and it beats all the Android tablets, hands down (for now)! But, I went to get my wife an iPhone and she could barely use the keyboard because its so small. And 3G going into 2012???!? WTF!

I look at Apple the same way I see Nintendo. They come up with some great, innovative products and make tons of cash on them. Then, instead of coming out with great revisions, they do next to nothing and try to make money off the same old products instead of updating them like their competition.

This may be "a little" far fetched, but I see the 4S kinda like the Nintendo 3DS. The previous model was great, then they added a few tricks and tried to sell it as a whole new redesign.

why don't they blame themselves been so arrogant, and did not spend time and resource to manage users' expectations. Even they have enough margin to increase spec and came with a new design, they just don't do it.

And how would Apple manage user expectations? By giving out information about the next design earily for the benefit of their competition. People get all worked up by spinning the next design out of control and this is Apple's fault? Who even came up with the notion that there would be a iPhone 5? Certainly not Apple. Who came up with the pictures of what the vaporware iPhone 5 was going to look like? Not Apple. So what we all had to wait 4 extra months. I really don't understand why people get so upset by this stuff.

I just compared the keyboard on the Samsung Galaxy S II to the iPhone 4S. The Galaxy S II has a larger screen then the iPhone 4S. The keyboard on the iPhone has better spacing then on the Galaxy phone. I guess if you have fat fingers then I can see the problem but then again you would have the same problem with something like Galaxy phone even with its bigger screen. A phone can have only a screen size so larger before it gets unmanageable as a phone.

I think you mean "4G" not on a iPhone until at least 2012. 3G is available now. Besides LTE is not deployed in enough areas for it to be effective yet to every phone user.
