The chairs look like they have wheels, and can move.
From the screen shot you can definitely see that he is resting his hands on the table (or maybe the chair itself) so Im convinced he is just next to the table and far from the table on the back.

If that is the case, you're saying they are making the notebook keyboards larger? The Macbook keyboard is about as "full size" as they get, and the keyboard in the picture is clearly going edge to edge. It is just cleverly positioned behind him to show off the Macbook on 60 minutes.

What full size keyboard mean is that the key size is like in normal desktop keyboard, however other major factor is the space between the keys...

It's def not a 12 inch. Zoom in and compare it to the one on Apples site. So many discrepancies. However, if it's a detachable screen, better take my money now.

Does anyone really believe Apple, a company obsessive about being secretive, would have an unreleased product hanging around an executive conference room and would forget to remove it before CBS film crews showed up? The same Apple that had sheets covering up tables in the design studio so we couldn't see what was on them. Really?

You can deny it all you want, but that is not a currently released MacBook. Apple is known to give executives pre-release versions of hardware for real world use. And yes, this is the same Apple that leaked the iPhone 4 and PowerMac G5.

No, there are other points of view from the conference room where you can clearly see the distance between the end of each chair and the tables placed next to the walls and the windows. From these shots I think the distance is around 2 meters.

It's not impossible. I used to bullseye womp rats in my T-16 back home, they're not much bigger than two meters.

That's not a 12" anything. Looks more like a 17" something. A prototype or an upcoming product. The corners are squared, the bezel is super thin and the "keyboard" looks like a smart cover keyboard.

I REALLY REALLY REALLY don't care about thinner anymore. Just give me better battery life and I'll love you long time!

How much battery life do u need?

For my 6s plus I wake up at 4am and at 11pm I still have 40% battery life and I use my phone like crazy. Which is a major improvement from my 6 plus

The black line are the edges of the 1x4 window trim, 3 1/2" wide. It is further back from the laptop though:

And yet I own a MacBook and that's not my Mac I am seeing on there. No MacBook has those thin bezels. Seems someone forgot to cover it up.

I know everyone thinks this is a new MacBook, but please look at the keyboard. With a bigger screen they would not make the keyboard any bigger, and you can see it goes edge to edge, like the Retina MacBook. It's just camera angles, and I seriously doubt Apple executives would slip up like that

Some people on here are mental. Its just the 12" Macbook - you lot saying its 14-15" based on bezels (when the screen is at an odd angle) you're also suggesting the Apple is making the biggest keyboard they've ever made in their history? Because that keyboard is edge to edge (because its the 12' Macbook) a full size keyboard is no where near 14" wide (hell its not even 13, there's plenty of room on a 13" Macbook Pro at the sides)

I know executives get pre-release versions of hardware. But we're supposed to believe either a) someone within Apple PR forgot to remove the device before CBS crews came in or b) they left it there intentionally so people would notice and and are now intentionally lying about what it is?

No way in hell is this a 12" MacBook. do they think we're stupid? This is a 15" screen (at least).

You really think Apple is going to make a 15" or larger laptop with edge to edge keyboard? Good lord those keys would be massive.

How has nobody photoshopped a photo of a retina macbook in a similar position into that picture, to compare, and maybe count the pixels? I would, but I only have MS Paint at work...

I'm sorry, but that is not the 12" MacBook. The corners are sharper.

The bezel in the photo is proportional on all sides. The MacBook bezel is thicker on top for the camera.

It seems to me that Apple is playing damage control.

No, it's Apple laughing at most here getting all frothed up. The laptop and its positioning was very intentional, not a mistake.

Usage can vary

I use mine heavy and it doesn't last

Looks can be deceiving, I'm sure it's a 12" MacBook. Film teams use different types of wide-angle lenses and filters, moreover it's positioned at an angle, in front of a window.

Here's what I think really happened. Apple decided to do some product placement. They knew the CBS "60 minutes" would air all across the US, while many of the people who would be watching were obviously interested in Apple and their products. Of course, it was a golden opportunity for Apple to showcase their brand new 12" MacBook, in Space Gray. The idea was possibly to draw attention to the new MacBook, in an attempt to drive sales.

Now, what actually happened was that internet mistook it for a brand new 14" model, causing speculation and rumors of new products in the pipeline. Which would maybe cause some people to hold off on their planned purchase. This was obviously the exact opposite of what Apple had in mind, which is why they were very quick to confirm that the computer in place was in fact, the 12" MacBook and nothing else.

The second option is, of course, that the computer was a 14" rMB or the new rumored 15" MacBook Air. I just don't see it, however. Apple have probably been planning for the interview for weeks, covering up every thing which needs to be covered. They wouldn't forget an open, 15" laptop, on an open table, in the middle of the room.
