Timmy says its a feature and it's 25% better fidelity static than before!
Don't let Apple slide on this. They are a premium company and consumers expect a premium experience. Their quality control has gotten worse over the years.
I agree but iPhone 8s aren't selling nearly as much as other iPhones in the past and the fact that Apple is acknowledging it as a problem is concerning. Anything less than 1% with Apple is unacceptable.Oh I won’t let Apple slide on this. But they manufacture millions of devices. It’s touhg to get them all perfect. It’s stuff like this where we only hear about the bad. No one posts about the millions of perfect iPhones
In my opinion, IOS 11 has been Apple’s most bug-ridden update to date. I know the software is very complex, however I wonder at times how this release got out the door in such condition.

I got that impression too.The level of sloppiness at the company recently is mindblowing.
Probably not something that would have much to do with this given that no one in public would have been testing the new phones.Maybe they should reevaluate this public beta program........

I'm in the packaging business. Anything more than 1% is concerning. And that's just your normal blow molders of plastic bottles. I would think the criteria to be an exclusive Apple supplier would be even higher. Just my opinion.I think the acknowledgement is a good thing. And 1% percent? They manufacture like 30 million units, more even. That’s asking a lot no?

As in devices that sometimes have some issues or software that has some issues? Because typical things like that didn't exist when Steve Jobs was around, or basically when it comes to pretty much any other product?I have no words for this one. Good luck on your future updates. Tim Cook is making Apple into something most of us don't know.
Sep 19 ... "A day to remember". Likely for the wrong reasons. Pay a premium you expect a finished product, Apple has rushed their releases before they are ready. iTunes 12.7 (surprise) not happy with the silent release, HS not supporting the Fusion drive ... I get it you don't want it corrupt your data but Apple is selling Fusion right now, in the store, and can't get its marque OS on it's leading hardware. Then don't release it until its ready. I know blah blah...... but Apple's QC has failed and the Apple is tarnished.

Easy bud. People pay a lot of money to Apple to have a perfect device. Their hard earn money. Apple used to be a company about quality products and that has gone downhill over the last few years and people are voicing their frustrations. Don't need to bash everyone for it.We have a forum full of product development experts here. They understand everything that needs to be done, and specialize in getting everything done perfectly and on time. You should hire them all, because they know better than your current team. Pronto!

High Sierra still installs onto computers with Fusion drives, but the file system is not updated to use APFS. These drives remain on HFS+. Am I right or wrong? You just stated that High Sierra isn't available at all for these machines, which could be a serious factual error.

Users do indeed get the OS, just not this one feature (yet).

Were you around for iOS 8 debacle? Stutters all over the place... crashing safari.... failing apps and resprings out the ***hole...In my opinion, IOS 11 has been Apple’s most bug-ridden update to date. Bashing is definitely not needed. That said, perfection never existed. Sure, there were people satisfied with what they had, just as there are now too, and then there were those with some issues here and there, also just as it is the case now. It's possible that quality has suffered over time, perhaps for a variety of reasons, but perfection never really existed nevertheless.Easy bud. People quickly forget or ignore or perhaps just don't know. It's all not that much different than many previous years. Were you around for iOS 8 debacle? Stutters all over the place... crashing safari.... failing apps and resprings out the ***hole...
We know perfection isn't there but an issue like this on a design that's been the same for 4 years just doesn't seem right. Especially the ear piece. I've replaced and fixed iPhones over the year and the ear piece hasn't changed much, if at all, over the years. Trust me. Being in the packaging business, I'm an engineer, everyone thinks everything should be perfect. I know that it can't. Just weird to see these issues almost being a given with Apple. I'd be curious if we could ever see the numbers of users affected but you know that will never be releasedBashing is definitely not needed. That said, perfection never existed. The software fix will just tone down that frequency which also affect all iPhones even though they don’t have a problem. If software can fix it then the problem likely is affecting all 8 series iPhones.
