White privilege doesn't mean something is handed to you. It means something is denied to someone else based on their race.
No it doesn't. It means this:

"
White privilege (or white skin privilege) is a term for societal privileges that benefit people identified as white in Western countries, beyond what is commonly experienced by non-whitepeople under the same social, political, or economic circumstances"

And 'here is another one', me. In any thread here you can't expect exchanges to only be between 2 people. They are free for anybody to join in and contribute. Private messaging is for select conversations you don't want others to be part of.
Yes but when you join in and talk about something that has nothing to do with the original post, it kinda gets out of hand. Just like this.

You'll have quite a few other ones to contend with, because most here understand how public comment forums work vs. private messaging.
Discussing a topic is one thing. Joining a conversation and rambling off topic is a waste of time. But if you like that kind of thing then be my guest.

I actually agree with you, but still, it's a public forum, not private communication between only two people.

It is hypocritical of you to make these points, because throughout this thread your own posts have been "rambling off topic", and are the reason for our current exchange. For example, in one of your earlier posts you fabricated a quote for Apple. It read:

Apple says, "lets do something that only benefits gays."

Apple never said that, or anything to that effect.

Our current exchanges with you emerged as a response to your above-quoted post. As I mentioned previously, if you deem our responses to your post to be "off topic", then your post was "off topic" in the first place. If you don't like posts veering off topic, then your own posts should not go "off topic".

Damn, you still don't get it?
My quote was fabricated in response to another quote. How many times do you wanna go over this?

The answer is as many times as it takes for you to understand what you did was wrong. You fabricated a quote for Apple. Apple did not fabricate a quote for you. That raises several questions: Why did you think it was ok to put words in Apple's mouth? If your fabrication of a quote for Apple was done in retaliation against Apple, who were you retaliating against in Apple, and for what reason(s)? Did anybody in Apple attempt to fabricate a quote and attribute it to you? If not, why did you do exactly that to Apple?

If you respond to a thread about a watch band by fabricating a quote for Apple, you cannot complain (as you have been) about other members in this thread going off topic. You have clearly gone off topic yourself, and we are responding to that.

I was replying to someone's quote. According to his/her example, our quotes were relevant. I didn't fabricate anything. You are joining in on a response of a response and took it off topic beyond that. You're wasting your time and accomplishing nothing. It is pretty amusing though, seeing how serious this is to you. Haha!

Just wondering if Apple made a Jewish watchband, or a watchband that celebrates the struggles of the Native American people? Don't think LGBTQZS has been through nearly as much as what many other groups have gone through, and are not recognized.
It's not a contest.

This "white privliage" has got to go from the left. I have worked my butt off to be where I am in my career. Nothing was handed to me due to my gender, race, oreientation, etc, as I have had to climb uphill battles most of my life- sure, I could of sat back and played the victim - but you know? I never did. I kept pushing forward.
Most people who get defensive about the concept of privilege don't understand it, and based on what you wrote...you fall into that category. Privilege doesn't mean you had it easy. It doesn't mean you didn't work hard for what you have. What it does mean is that others who don't have the straightness and whiteness that you do likely had to work even harder.

45's privilege allowed him to be president with zero qualifications, a messy family life (5 kids with 3 women), and a demonstrated lack of respect for women and other minorities. In order for Obama to be president, he had to be a Constitutional scholar with degrees from Ivy League schools and a solid home life. His every step, even the correct ones, was scrutinized and he was routinely disrespected in spite of all that.

It's a classic example of privilege.

That is an outright lie. You very much did fabricate. It was raised explicitly in my previous post that you fabricated a quote for Apple. You did that in post #85 of this thread, as shown in the screengrab below.

Regarding your point about time wasting and amusement, the same applies to yourself, but to an even greater extent, because - as has just been shown - you are now lying about your actions.

You are super obsessed with my comments. Be my guest and read all of them if you haven't already! More to come so stay tuned :)

I'd buy one.

I used to donate a hundred bucks a year each to HRC and PFLAG via paycheck allotments at my old job. I'd be fine with keeping it going, even if the amount is a lot smaller.
