Imagine how many other utterly stupid ideas Apple has rejected in the past few years. I truly appreciate that.

I really want to know why this AI slop keeps being pushed. I want to see the numbers on how many people are seriously leaving Apple to get AI? How many sales has Apple lost? The only compelling AI mobile phone feature I’ve seen that Apple doesn’t have a good
answer to is maybe circle to search. (for the record shortcuts is a far more compelling feature that Android has no compelling answer to bc intents on Android are poor quality).

apple is so late to the AI game it's insane. ultimate fumble.
Honestly with feature proposals like that I hope they are later.

What specific features are you thinking should be available on Apple platforms that aren’t?

Is Apple behind in search engines too?

Definitely not something that I would use. I prefer to have the apps/icons in a fixed location. Not sure how many will keep it on if such a feature ever made it to the final release.

Honestly, this is a good thing. Companies are too busy focusing on shoving AI slop down everyone's throat, instead of focusing on usability and functionality of their core product.

When I want AI, I will specifically open LM Studio. I don't need it forcefully injected into every facet of the OS and UI.

A version of this would be great. You’re shopping and you want the app of the stores you’re near to be available. Or like me, I use Focuses to have different apps on my single Home Screen depending on the time of day.
You want companies to use your iPhone to track your movements? Is it so they can show you pop-up ads for sales of items you might be interested in?

How about letting me put the icons anywhere on screen that I want? Also, like others have said, what a dumb idea. Most people can get their icons without looking at their phone since they have muscle memory of where they are. Them constantly moving would be such a pain and time waster.

An idea ahead of its time; forget icons on the home screen - we need AI robots moving our phones to different places around the house.

Dumb subordinates. Who would want a home screen where the apps are randomly rearranged, making it harder to find the app you want?

iOS 26 Liquid Ass April Fools edition?

Well, I hope he terminated those clowns, or at least banished them to the mail room. It takes an absolute idiot, someone incapable of being creative, and completely not understanding how users interact with a GUI, to come up with such an insane concept.

These are people who are so desperate to come up with something new, so as to impress the boss, that they tossed a turd of an idea at the chalkboard to see if it would stick.

This proposed feature is a sorting algorithm. If a sorting algorithm can be called Artificial Intelligence then what software elements are NOT worthy of being called Artificial Intelligence? At best, this is the triumph of marketing over engineering; at worst, it's a sign that Apple sets a tragically low bar for its "Apple Intelligence".
