It's not random rearrangement, it's arrangement based on AI. Not the same thing at all.

Not sure it's something I would have wanted but it does sound like an interesting concept if well implemented.

Sort by Name? Spotlight/Search can only find about half the items that exist on one's computer.

If you didn’t notice, I was referring to the app selection or whatever the Launchpad „replacement“ is called, not Finder itself or anything else about spotlight.
The new spotlight sorts apps by „relevance“ or whatever and after that alphabetically.

They actually tried that with the Siri Suggestions widget. It kinda works, and if you put 3 of them on your Home Screen it’s basically the same thing.
