Difficult to fanthom a trillion dollar company would be in that much disarray and be so indecisive.
In fact, that is the normal state of "trillion dollar" companies.

With so much diversification and so many barely related industries and technologies, it is impossible for the senior executives to keep track of what is going on (particularly when a significant proportion of those executive are only looking at what they can get for themselves anyway). Thus, glamourous multi-million project rise, writhe and die financed by the boring stuff that chugs along. Until suddenly someone realises the boring stuff has died.

Wow... first off. Jennifer Aniston and co got over big time! 1.1 million per episode for a show that you don’t know if it even is going to be a hit.
To me, that's a strong indicator that there is more money than expertise going into the whole project.

For me, I don’t need Apple to dangle free access to their original shows and movies. I buy AppleCare for the extra protection it offers my iOS products.

"Creators received "obfuscation and ambiguous responses" when asking about distribution, with some speculating that Apple may not have made up its mind about the finer details of the streaming service."

I say, obfuscation and ambiguity coming from Apple is a surprise.
Why?
Because with Apple mum's the word and its official responses are, typically, ... nada, zero, zilch -- just silence.

Apple isn't even willing to offer free accidental damage repairs for Apple Care, and here we are expecting them to throw us a bone with free content lol.

Now that the event is past and Apple has revealed its new services it would be nice if they bundled them at a great price

Wonder how many more times MR is going to recycle this same story by simply adding new unnamed sources who offer non-specific allegations about what Apple might or might not do.
You have running water and electricity, stop complaining
