I think 4.5"-4.7" is the best size for a larger phone. I really hope Apple would release at least 4.5" iPhone... I'd buy it instantly. I'm still using my 4S, waiting for a larger screen before I buy a new one (iPhone 5 with 4" screen isn't enough).

but but Schiller said that the current iphone 5 screen size is perfect:confused:

LOL, until it's not..

don't you know that's how this (and everyone's) business works? Bash the competition until you have something similar and IMPROVED. ... ergo the iPad mini.. which I own, even!

Please Apple for once put some dollars into improving battery life for an iphone. Just make it last a full day with medium use without charging.

Bigger screen for the iPhone? Could be. I would buy one and there are bigger screened smart phones.

Although I'ld like to buy an iPhone for $100, this would mean a radical cut-back in costs, ending in a extremely simplified iPhone, or an older model from a few generations back.

Remember that Apple want the top, most profitable part of the market, not necessarily the biggest part of the market. A very cheap iPhone does not fit in that model very well.

Yes but its App Store and iTunes customers that make them even more money. Its about hooking you into the ecosystem to spend money long term.

People have different needs. I have a Samsung Ativ S with a 4.8" screen and I love the size. One of the reasons, why I no longer consider buying an iPhone is the small screen of the iPhone. But this is just my opinion. Other people prefer smaller screens. That's why other manufacturers offer phones in different sizes. This whole discussion is pointless.

It's only a matter of time before people ask our advice on if they should get a pink one or an orange one :D

About the size, I have a 5" Galaxy, up from a 4" iPhone and the size is awesome. The thin bezel makes it very portable.

I still think the "killer" move would be to put a phone in iPads and let the user who has multiple devices share their phone number on any iDevice they own... that way if I'm on my iPad and someone calls, I can just take the call there. I'm sure this would need some sort of cooperation with the phone companies, but would give people a huge choice of sizes. :)

If anything, I think a 4" and a 5.7" would make more sense.

4" for those who want a pocket sized, one handed use smartphone. This is the iPhone I would buy because I want something that easily slips in my trouser pocket and is unobtrusive.

5.7" for those who want a micro-tablet. This is the device you'd buy if you were more concerned with larger text and images. This would, I guess, be popular with women who carry handbags, for instance, and so don't need to worry about pocket friendliness.

I feel like anything in between would be a neither/nor device. Neither small enough to be pocket sized and one handed or large enough to enable anything more than you can do on a smaller device.

Apple is intentionally leaking information to judge market reaction to their ideas. It is free and a great way of getting feedback. Don't worry if the general concensus is that 5.7" is too big, they won't launch.

I'm not as concerned about screen size as I am:

- Battery Life

- Durability

But that's just me...

My Galaxy Note 2 is one of the biggest phones around and has a superb battery life, with 2 days of use and more than 5 hours screen up time with internet navigation. Bigger is better for batteries. iPads are here to prove this as well.

Fits well with iOS7! :apple:

By the time

By the time they come out with the screen size I want and a Swype keyboard, I will be long gone and buried.

4.7 inches and 5.7 inches for iPhone in one word ?
ridiculous

why not a 7.9 inches iPhone ?

…

"Ridiculous" is ignoring the Galaxy S4, that sold 10 million units [Sold, not units shipped to retailers], in less than 1 month.

Hmmm... what size screen does an S4 have....?

There is a market for a larger phone, 10 million people let us know that last month alone. In the same way these very same markets, let Apple know there was a market for a 7" iPad...

Have a nice day.

My dream come September:

"We've spent a lot of time thinking about where we go next with iPhone. We've totally reinvented iOS, the biggest change since iPhone. We think it's only right to do this amazing new software justice with some amazing new hardware. So we are skipping an entire generation ahead, and I'm very pleased today to share with you the most incredible phone since iPhone: iPhone 6."

Again, they are not phones but small tablets

I say the iPhone 5 is the perfect size, screen and overall. I don't want to take a back pack or oversized belt clip just to carry my mobile, I like using one hand, I don't have big chunky fat fingers or poor eyes.

the iPhone is already the ideal size and soon with eyes free Siri in the car etc it sounds like it will utilise the display on connected devices if need be.

If it ain't broke don't fix it

The only back draw is that you look like a foul when making a call. It is even dangerous when making a call on the street because you cannot see the traffic coming from the side you are holding your tablet-phone.
