Same here. I'm on the fence of getting one. If they keep the trade-in and throw in $100 or even a gift card I'd go for it. They will make a lot of money from AppleCare too.I'd go out and get one if it was $100 cheaper and if they retain the boost in trade-ins.
>>JD.com is offering customers a 400 yuan coupon that drops the price of the iPhone XR to 6099 yuan ($899), while Suning, an electronics store similar to Best Buy, now sells the iPhone XR for 6199 yuan ($914).
$899 and $914 is the discounted price? wow.
That trade war thing going on over there...its resulting in public social pressure to buy Chinese...which is probably affecting sales there. So here this is.
Here in Hungary the 64GB XR costs 300000 HUF that is around $1070.

That was the starting price of the iPhone for several years until Apple hiked it to $699 with the iPhone 8 and again to $749 with the iPhone XR. That's not acceptable even for someone like me who has always been a faithful Apple customer. At least it would be less of an issue if the starting storage was 128 GB instead of 64 GB. Not to mention the size of the XR which is hardly pocket friendly or easy for one-handed use. A better size for me is the iPhone XS but it starts at $999 with that same puny 64 GB, so they basically push you to go for 256 GB at $1149. That is the second year in a row that I'm not getting a new iPhone although I would really like to. I just can't encourage Apple in their current strategy. We'll take a $100 price cut in America as well.
$649 starting price is pretty good.
Same here! The price increases since the iPhone 8 are unacceptable in a market where Android mid-range models have become compelling alternatives. If only they were not so large with screens often exceeding 6 inches, I would've switched by now. But if Apple has no plans to go back to a more reasonable pricing scheme, they should introduce the iPhone Upgrade Program in all its major markets. It would make it easier to afford their phones which are now hardly affordable with a full payment. After currency conversion, the base iPhone XR costs $1010 here in Ireland. That is just ridiculous. I had every iPhone up until the 7. I refuse to upgrade until they sort their pricing out and if I were to upgrade it would be to the XS which is even more ridiculously priced.
$950 in romania, more expensive than note9Here in Hungary the 64GB XR costs 300000 HUF that is around $1070.
I wonder if this includes all taxes and fees. I bought an XR in November and had over $100 in sales taxes and fees on top of the quoted price.
Biggest flop ever.
Don’t hold your breath. The revenue reduction was over 100% a result of China and many other countries set records, including the US, Canada, Germany, Italy, and Korea.
Apple will only cut prices where they have to and they still only did it at third parties in China.
Cutting prices is the first sign of a desperate company LOL.
i sell mine. i walk around the mall in beverly hills cuz im a genius but to each his own. and spotify money.Mixtapes are given for free, Kanye. Albums aren't.
Hears a concept.... iPhone the size of the XR, no notch - instead the top bezel could be slightly larger to accommodate the face ID censors and not interfere with the screen, a separate headphone jack or ditch the lightning port for USB-C and include USB-C headphones, & put 3D touch (optional) & touch ID back. $799. No one would care how thick it is. Would be the best selling iPhone EVER. Too bad Apple doesn't listen to it's customers. This would satisfy customers screaming for an updated SE phone, customers screaming because of how "brave" they were removing the headphone jack, customers that complain about the notch, and customers that complain about the prices.
I know it's hard to absorb facts, but you have to use them to support a narrative. If you want to think the CEO of the largest company in the world can lie, go ahead and keep telling yourself that.Lol...keep telling yourself that.
