Mine too. It's reminding me of the whole Megapixel wars with digital cameras. More pixels are not needed to improve displays significantly. IPS and OLED would be much nicer!!!
I bet there will be no more 16 gb version!
Great news if supplies are really shut off for the old model.

That's the thing. I don't own an iPad. But I go into the Apple Store and hold my iPhone 4 next to the iPad and the difference in clarity of text is overwhelming. I just will refuse to buy an iPad until it has a display that can match my phone.
I may consider purchasing a used first-gen iPad once the second-gen comes out.
So will the WiFi Xoom be available this week after all now?
TABLET WAR!!!!
I just hope iOS5 is a major revision. After five years it's time to mix it up!
Probably no major change internally, but I wouldn't be surprised if Apple threw in something cute/clever ... perhaps a 3D UI view seen by tilting the iPad. Something flashy that will grab customers' attention even if not a real breakthrough.
It's kind of sad how I find myself wishing away weeks of my life every time Apple are about to make an announcement.
At least on here I am among equals.....![]()

9 to 5 Mac reports that a number of Apple resellers have been notified that iPad supplies are currently "constrained" and that there is no estimate on when they may become available. The development is not much of a surprise, considering that Apple has been widely rumored to be introducing the next-generation iPad at a media event on Wednesday, just two days from now.The fact that supplies are already drying up does hint, however, that we may see the new iPad go on sale sooner rather than later. That would match up with a report from AppleInsider late last week claiming that customers should be able to expect "near immediate availability" of the new iPad.

Quick question for a new guy on here. I plan on pre-ordering the ipad2, can I pre-order online and pick it up @ an Apple store the same day it is released? Or will Apple only offer pre-orders online for home delivery? If able to pick it up @ an Apple store, do I do that online or call the store? Thanks in advance.
I am typing this message now on my V1 iPad, and I must say that an increase in resolution would be greatly welcomed
... and developers will have to worry about "which Ipad".
Isn't progress wonderful!
</sarcasm>
That's completely tongue-in-cheek, for the fans who decry "fragmentation" in the Android market and ignore the same issue as it develops for Idevices.
Yes, there will be things that "don't work on a Ipad I".
The alternative to "fragmentation" is "stagnation". Which do you want?
