I'm interested to find out if this screen has the Air 1 or Air 2 refresh rates. The Air 2 model refreshed the screen at half the rate of the Air 1 model, which wreaked havoc with non-Apple Bluetooth pen devices. So if it is the Air 1 model screen, it may actually be an upgrade for some people.

Exchange Rate says $329 = £264.11. Add on VAT at 20% takes us to £316.93. Not quite sure how Apple then rounds that up even further with an additional 7% price hike on top of that.

Sigh. Stiffed again.

Higher costs of operating in UK? They expect that the pound will become weaker still?

I do agree 7% is quite a bit though. iPhone 7 plus is about 2.5% more expensive.

I look forward to the iPad demo models in the store. I've had an iPad Air 1 for a period of while, and I was happy with it (no issues with the weight), except the tapping feel on the screen didn't match the more solid feeling on my previous iPad 3.

A good move.

They realised £549 was over priced for just having support for a pencil. £339 much cheaper than I thought.

No doubt 9.7" pro sales were flat.

As I said in another thread covering the new iPads predicted, they dumbed down the 9.7 iPad pro and there will no longer be a 9.7 pro. The new pro's will be the 10.5 (or whatever) and the 12.9 and we will probably see these in the next month or so.

Tim is definitely going about this all wrong though, and what ever happened to this "amazing product line set to release this year" that he started talking about at the start of 2016?

Finally, yes the computer side of this computer company needs some love...badly.

Pretty fecking jarring to go from SF Pro on the new iPad pages to Myriad Set Pro on the iPad Pro / mini pages..

But that's the kinda quality and attention to detail I expect from Apple atm.

Yes the cellular chip costs them about $2-3 more. Its the same with more memory. Its all profit. I agree $50 would be better especially with the lower end models

Surely they'd get many more people buying it too. I would never consider it at $100 but would at $50.

Exactly how i said:
iPad mini
iPad
10.5" iPad Pro
12.9" iPad Pro
No mini in the future... Just a smaller size iPad. They dropped smaller storage and did not give it the A9. Seems like they want it to drop off the family tree.

DISAPPOINTMENT! pure and utter disappointment today, do like the red iphones though, but expected so much more. Hopefully next month will come with A LOT more releases, which Apple desperately needs.

Apple done this before, release the minor updates like this and a few weeks later the new products. It's a sign that the lineup was to big for one announcement. This is good news, cheaper iPad is good, and more products to come.
