Well, for that price, you really want noise cancelling in the very least. I have heard nice things about the boss qc35 and Sony abn 100 wireless.

But basically, you can get a lot better for a lot less money. Currently, the only thing the beats solo 3 has going for it is the W1 chip, which according to reviews, grants it superb wireless range and excellent battery life (up to 52 hours).

Thank you for your reply. Perhaps the Beats ones aren't so overpriced for what they are, then. Pairing things has been my bugaboo forever, and nothing seems to work particularly well with the stuff I have (including a Bose product). It all *works*, just not well. So, the fact that the beats stand a better chance with connections may well be worth it to me. I was at an Apple store this week and tried a pair on. Seemed very nice sounding, too. I was concerned, given some reviews I've read, that they would be obnoxiously bass-heavy, but they seemed OK to my ears. I suppose you're right about the noise cancelling, although I've heard some noise-cancelling cans that sound muddy when the feature is active, so maybe not good there either, but I can't say.

Eh. I guess in the end it comes down to do it, or don't do it. We'll see.

What lossless wireless audio options are there for ear phones/ headphones on an iphone 7? The lightening connector frequently falls out or disconnects if knocked/touched.

It takes lot of courage to make a LAME comment about courage around this forum. And stupidity also.

1) Apple makes a big statement about how it takes courage and foresight to remove the "obsolete" 3.5 mm audio jack from its flagship phone.

2) 2 months later, Apple releases updated computer lines that still use the "obsolete" jack.

3) 1 week after that Apple releases high(er) end wired headphones which also requires devices with the jack.

Development shouldn't exist in a vacuum. If Apple was going to go wireless then that decision should have been applied to all upcoming products. Especially since going without a jack wasn't required for the iPhone right now either. People who buy Apple tend to buy multiple products, and Apple has made buying multiple Apple devices difficult by not having universal connectivity between their own products. I don't think huthanhv2 was either lame or stupid.

Have wireless charging so you don't need the lightning port to charge an iPhone and Apple would have vastly reduced the number of complaints about the 3.5 mm jacks removal. This is rumored to be a feature for the next iPhone. Introduce wireless charging, say that you are also going totally wireless with the new phone, and have wireless accessories ready to buy when you release the phone. And have all your subsequent products follow this philosophy.

.

Oh for the love of god! You have to be absolutely naive if you don't get it why the removable of the 3.5mm headphone jack makes sense on the smartphone much more then it would make on a portable notebook. And don't you worry because this could very well be the last MacBook pro you see with 3.5mm jack. And then of course you would moan that it is removed and you will come up with your courage comments again. And btw, I wouldn't bother using double prime symbols on obsolete on this occasion, it is quite obsolete.

Hmmm, using your logic Apple shouldn't have eliminated the CD-DVD drives from their laptops because it caused "confusion" and wasn't "consistent" with their other products, both consumer and pro!

I'm interested in a pair of Solo3's but not in these colors. Still waiting for BeatsX

And using yours it would have been fine for Apple to kill the CD drive but still require you to load drivers and updates via cd because you could buy an add on cd drive, at an extra expense to you.

When Apple killed built in cd drives, as each Mac or iMac was updated it no longer included the cd drive, although it took several years to cycle through MB Air, MacBook, iMac and MacBook Pro. This year, after making the decision to eliminate the jack from their iPhone, probably the device which people used 3.5 mm jacks for most commonly, they then released most of their computer line up with the jacks still installed. They also released their Beats headphones also still with a 3.5 jack. If it's worth updating computers and headphones that still use the jacks what is the magical difference with the iPhone 7? If you're going to start somewhere why not start with devices where the jack is used least, not most? Especially since the wifi technology you want customers to buy and use isn't even available yet? And if you are going to go down that path anyway then why not get rid of the jacks and Apple products with jacks after introducing your newest iPhone? Why continue to make new products that defy your stated philosophy? I'm not talking about legacy products, I'm saying why introduce any new models that use the jacks?

That violet looks awesome. But there's not much point unless they stop the cushions peeling and pulling out of the base within 6 months. Especially when cheap replacement ones from Amazon don't ship here.

What about SubPods?

At the very least, it looks like folks are less likely to misplace the subwoofer!

I wonder if Apple is courageously sticking with the micro-usb charging cable?
Saw the Beats Solo 2 and was very surprised to see Apple using micro-usb on that.

The SubPod can be purchased with an optional HealthKit dongle for $199
that attaches to your Apple Watch to monitor your colon heath.
Unfortunately Jony Ive insisted that the iB*** dongle could only be 8" long.
A Bluetooth version of the iB*** dongle is available for $399.

I have the (Product) Red silicone case for my 7 Plus and strap for my Series 0 Watch.

Not so mad on the speaker/headphones in that colour though even if a percentage goes to a worthwhile cause.

Get what people are saying re: 3.5mm jack removal and then selling headphones with it as a connection... but the Beats headphones does have the W1 chip like the AirPods which is something I guess.

I know right! It's almost like Apple should hire people to work on other things at the same time....oh wait

It's nice to see Apple, the new fashion brand taking so much time over these important things these days.
No need to worry about unimportant issues any more like making the best computers. All that's in the past. Fashion is where the money is......
