Thanks, this reiterates to me that they are using something that worked before and tweaking it. If it's not broken, don't fix it, just make it better.

Problem is that I don't think those ads worked for them before. It was a very short ad campaign and didn't resonate well with the target audience.

define Amazing, because a 750P screen, 1GB RAM and 8MP non-optical stabilizing camera in 2015 are obsolete features.

You must realize that spec's like this are secondary to the Apple consumer. Apple is a fashion brand with electronic technology its medium. It is not a technology company with style secondary like many other Silicon Valley companies. From that, those specs you mention are not even considered when someone wants to take a selfie, play a video or run a hot app. Ask a dozen iPhone users on the street what the CPU speed, screen resolution and RAM size is, most will not know nor care. All they want is to use their iPhone as a social tool and that is what sells.

"If it's not an iPhone... It's not an iPhone"

Anyone remember this. "A designer knows he has achieved perfection not when there is nothing left to add, but when there is nothing left to take away."—Antoine De Saint-Exupery

With that in mind... Their add should be...

"It's an iPhone"

or "iPhone"

OK I have to admit that I'm in the 1%. Don't get me wrong, my 5C is the best phone I've owned. It does more things better than any other phone I've owned or whatever company I worked for bought me. It's just that the idea of "loving" a phone, seems odd. It's a useful tool but nothing more. I don't love my lawn mower or Prius either. It does what I want and I put it away when I don't need it.

My iPad on the other hand is a fantastic device that I use literally from dawn to dusk. That I'm exceedingly fond of.

I'm like you.

The iPhone is a useful tool; that's it. Handy for on the move.

The iPad is a delight to use. I treasure it and use it over the iPhone whenever possible, which is most of the time.

um no, because I have a S6 edge, and it's better because it's not a limited and basic iPhone

You're phone is basically very expensive crap with real bad software and the QA on it was also pretty much crap too; sales figure reflect that with Samsung falling down the hole further. Why are you here exactly bud. To tell us you own a Samsung phone? Or do you something else to add?

Cringe-worthy punchline to me.

Please, Apple don't be smug. Just be awesome (as in fixing the bugs that make my iPhone 5s misbehave every day) and continue to make a kick-ass phone.

Oh, and get a better punchline than "If it's not an iPhone, it's not an iPhone". Sounds smug^2. Although, maybe that's because I am not 14 anymore, I am sure 14-year-olds boys love it.

We are getting a lot of tech press butthurt about Apple being mean. None of them complained when Samsung mentioned the iPhone, went down their checklist, and said things like, "we got wireless charging, not them." Let's see what people want. And the slogan is great. They've got the grade A brand. Not anybody else.

When they want them to be. When it suits them Apple will push specs just as hard as the competiton and the consumer will eat it up.

Some would say the same about a Mac. I like them personally but I know more people that don’t and wouldn't use a Mac than the other way round. After all it IS pretty much a box of the same components that are very pretty, (and highly overpriced).

Huh! No their not. If you actually price the EXACT SAME components you get about the same price. Plus you don't get the same warrantee, integration, whatever. There is a reason Apple has got 90% of the high end and it is not because it is "fashion". People who spent 3 times more for their stuff than the average PC are not as dumb as you think they are.

Good job you don’t really believe that.
RAM example number 1. (Please do not make yourself look stupid by justifying the extreme mark ups).

Don't you guys miss this one?
I really do: the music and everything- The Submarines!:)))

I also miss Pre-iOS7 icons…nostalgia :((

These are terrible. And here's why. These are "response" ads. They're answering critics or responding to other products. This isn't where Apple needs or should be. Apple needs to lead, others can/will follow. They need to advertise like they're the only dogs in town. This is a step back and they should can their ad agency and get a team that understands the Steve Jobs way, Like me. Call me. Right now. Apple clearly needs to right their sails.

Don't make yourself stupid in telling me you actually own ANYTHING APPLE; are you concerned for us? You know what that makes you hey! Look it up the definition and see if it fits...

BTW, even if you gave 16Gb of memory to an Android phone, it still would lag like a turd, it is its nature, and yes it still will be an android. The important thing is how the device works; not how it does it.; 1 Gb was enough for my desktop 5-6 years ago were I ran much more intensive software than on a cell phone, so I think your argument is beyond absurd.

I didn't think of that as an Easter Egg. It's specifically stated that "99% love their iPhone". There are 99 iPhones with happy people and 1 facing away. It's pretty explicit in the message, not at all a hidden message as would be an Easter Egg.

It's a very clever moment in the ad, but I don't think you can call it an Easter egg when the audience is expected to notice and get it.

You guys must be fun at parties...
Anyway, if you like to argue semantics thats cool, but I think you caught the gist of what I was trying to say.

i can see that the next samsung ad will be "we are not only desinging the hardware and software, but we are also building them." ;)

or.. "weare not only making ours, but we will build yours too." :D
